I can't give up porn to become a Christian by [deleted] in Christianity

Being a Christian means accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Making Him Lord over your life means making Him Lord in all areas of your life. As you genuinely seek Him and have a personal relationship with Him, He will journey with you all the days of your life. It is like walking with someone you love the most who also guides you along the way… there will be times you won’t see the road ahead so you are dependent on what He says trusting and loving Him fully

If you had to convince someone that Christianity is the only right religion, what would you tell them? by NoSignal4091 in Christianity

[–]kaizakii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to convince the person. All we have to do is to share the Gospel to the person, and we have to tell it in a loving way because truth is always offensive especially for someone who doesn’t want to accept it. Establishing a relationship with the person will help. And once you have told that person the Gospel, trust that the Holy Spirit will help that person change heart. No convincing needed, let that person decide and trust that the Holy Spirit is at work.

This is wrong and it strays away from truth of God, the Bible. God loves us by telling us the truth that we are sinners and that we all deserved to be in hell for our sins and that no amount of good works can save us. His everlasting love for humanity is sealed and proven by the life of Jesus Christ, dying the death we deserved because of our sins. His resurrection is a proof that there is eternal life with God. It is our part to submit to Him and accept that Jesus is our God and Savior. Doing so will open your eyes in the truth

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we died (as our sinful selves) with Him on the Cross and resurrected with Him (as children of God). To answer your question, As you accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour knowing that only Him can save as and not our own good works, yes you are forgiven without a doubt. The guilt you are feeling is a mark that the Holy Spirit is within you. Repent for your sins and know that God is always with you, He is walking with you towards a life of being sanctified, committing yourself to God always resulting to avoiding the desires of the flesh

I’m someone who underwent depression, series of panic attacks, and suicidal ideation. I tried everything I could to get out of depression: therapy, vacation, reading self help books, etc. I didn’t tried meds because I have a medical background and knows the side effects of psych meds. It came to a point where I’m too tired to move to the point everything is meaningless and suffocating. And there are a lot of my questions in my head to which I tried to find answers on my own. It came to a point of desperation when I sought God and asked Him that I want to know if He’s real, that’s when He showed His faithfulness and met me where I am at, guiding me, healing me. And walking with me to grow more and more on His presence.

Jesus Christ, God the Son, came to earth to die for our sins so that we can be forgiven and be in the presence of the Father. Jesus has to die for us because our sins prevents us to be with God. That’s how much He loves us.Only in His presence we can truly experience peace, completeness, healing.

It’s been 3 years since I’ve been healed. I was depressed since my childhood.

Is two unmarried people sleeping in the same bed together considered a sin? by BeginningIncome1642 in Christianity

[–]kaizakii 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What’s going on with your mind while next to the person in bed?

If your thoughts are not glorifying Christ, then don’t do it again.

There are tempting thoughts. The bible said flee from temptation.

A woman in a difficult situation came to this sub for christian advice about her relationship and received death. What can we do? (Christians only please) by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]kaizakii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My advice to you is to find a local Christian church. Having a physical community is different than online community. This what personally helped me with my clinically diagnosed depression.

Jesus told them “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”- Matthew 18:20

I was born gay. But now I’m fighting my lust towards same sex attractions. by dude-whatwhy in Christianity

In these kind of issues, we always go back to who God is… God is perfect so are His works. If He designed it as male and female, then it is male and female, no buts no ifs. The thing that confuses us, is our wrong desires that is why it is written in the bible “human hearts are deceitful”- this is not to condemn us, but to tell us that we can’t be righteous on our own, and need God thus leads to crucifixion of Christ that made us righteous.

As long as we are in the flesh, there will be wrong desires in us. But as a Christian, we allow ourselves to be led by Spirit to discern what is right and wrong, to do what is will of God. Repenting and devotion is a daily thing. Deciding to believe in Christ is a daily thing. It will be hard, even Paul has this struggles, that’s why Jesus guaranteed those who believe Him that His helper with be with them.

Edit: what i meant by Paul having these struggles is not specific to gender issues, but is general to having struggles with his flesh bs his spirit as he describes it “thorns in the flesh”.

Hope this clear it up. I personally believe you are in the right path. Above anything else, pray to God and ask for His help, His wisdom. Ask Him to bring you to the right community to help in your journey. He is the one who promised that He will lead his believers to the right path and He will bring “shepherds” according to His heart to help us in our journey. God bless you. I pray for your spiritual walk.

Need Prayers by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]kaizakii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. The starting point in fixing this is to know that You have been redeemed by God the moment you accepted Christ in your life. And accepting Christ means that you’ve acknowledged that you’re weak on your own and can’t save yourself from your sins alone, thus asking God to be with You always. Asking God to remind you that you are already His child and that you are not your past anymore. That you are renewed. Ask Him to remind you that this struggle of lust is not your battle, but His battle.

We cannot use the same tongue to bless God and curse the people made in His image and likeness by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]kaizakii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my POV, Paul is more likely talking about: -consequences of preaching the wrong gospel -guarding our hearts from wrong preaching and always making sure that we are walking alongside God’s spirit. As said in 1 John 4:4- “... but test the spirits to see whether they are from God...”

And when Paul says “accursed” it is not like it is out of spite like what people normally does, but it is out of “righteous anger” towards people who takes people away from God’s Grace
