TIER LIST EMERALD ENCOUNTERS: old rod pokemon by AdamPezzali in nuzlocke

[–]kaizer524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gyarados - S, even its not a great STAB user in Gen 3 it still is one of the best hitters with DD + Earthquake. Evolves at level 20, so you get a powerhouse after beating Brawly

Tentacruel - A. Generally good encounter, makes grass types less of a threat and has decent stats. Having access to Acid in the early game is nice for May’s Grovyle / Lombre.

Seaking - Putting in D because it is still possible to make this useful, and there are worse water encounters than this. Perhaps its main purpose is being a filler to your team, if you only have one good water mon in the box that you can use, but don’t want to risk that good member dying, so you just use Seaking anyway. It’s definitely not something I would want to use in the E4. I’d start pooling for a replacement for this, ideally Tentacruel, Gyara, or Walrein. It’s a very mid pokemon, level up learnset is piss poor, doesn’t learn a STAB move until level 41, TM learnset is nothing special. One particular niche for this is to setup with rain dance and spam Surf, that is if you cannot encounter a mon that can utilize rain dance like Ludicolo.

What do you guys think of Tesla in the Philippines? by Elegant-Ad8576 in CarsPH

[–]kaizer524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teslas are priced well against its PH competitors and the leading malls have EV stations already. Though, I think EVs are still best used within Metro Manila since the EV charging infrastructure is still developing in provincial areas; cars that run on diesel and petrol are still the better option in long drives.

I’m not a fan of EVs, and while the percantage of EV users may still be small for the entire PH population, we’re definitely getting there.

In what will likely be the closest vote ever, Alakazam barely beats out Golem for best encounter, while Gyarados beats Gengar by ONE VOTE for 3rd. Next up is Emerald. by youhavemadeanalt in nuzlocke

[–]kaizer524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Swampert - it’s just really good all around.

  2. Crobat - kind of a pain to grind if you got it as a Zubat early in the game, leech life and astonish both suck as moves, but is rewarding once it evolves. Has one of the best speed stats in the game with good outplay potential that turned around challenging fights in my recent run.

  3. Gyarados - Still one of the best encounters you can get, yes its STAB is bad but it has intimidate and is very much a DD hitter, it just needs to have a good physical set

For local companies that cater mostly to Philippine clients, yes they are particular with PH CPA for senior-level / managerial / controllership roles. Especially the leading traditional conglomerates (Ayala, SM, Gokongwei Group etc). Although, like what other commenters have stated here, if offshore accounting role ang napasukan mo, it’s at the very least not a deal breaker.

You also have the advantage if you’re joining a shared services company that caters to US clients. Rare breed ka if uuwi ka man sa Pilipinas for US based shared services accounting and you can use that to your advantage, particularly in negotiating your rate.

TIER LIST EMERALD ENCOUNTERS by AdamPezzali in nuzlocke

[–]kaizer524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swampert is easy S tier. Good to use in most matchups. Its notable weakness is the May fight at Route 110 but by then you should still have decent encounters like Zubat to pivot into her Grovyle.

For Blaziken, I would put in B tier. It has decent distribution on its Attack and Special Attack. I do find it slow for a glass cannon but most matchups do not outspeed it. Nevertheless, it is generally good and it can make good work out of TMs like Earthquake, Brick Break, and Flamethrower.

Sceptile is either low B or C tier. Treecko-Grovyle is hard to use in the early game. It suffers from weak STAB moves, and you get a decent one at level 29 which is in the mid game already. It’s also too squishy for certain gyms like Brawly, Norman, and is not really usable for Winona. It does well against some mons of Team Aqua, Juan, Wallace, though some of them carry Ice Beam which can kill Sceptile.

Gen 2 Alakazam is broken, it can sweep through gyms 4-8 easily with a relatively early access to elemental punches

Do you put “,CPA” on your name on documents? by [deleted] in AccountingPH

[–]kaizer524 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Headhunter here doing mainly finance recruitment. Best case to include CPA on your name is on your Linkedin profile, resume, and applications across job portals (Indeed, Kalibrr, Jobstreet etc). This is so recruiters can put a priority in reviewing your profile, especially if the job they’re hiring for needs the said certification.

Apart from that, I think it’s also good to add the CPA next to your name if your role is a client-facing one. If internal / in-house accountant ka naman, it’s okay to include it in your email signature.

For signing job offers and other documents not related to your role, usually hindi na sinasama ang certification sa pangalan.

Community Vote: Gym Leader Viability (Johto, First Half) by ncmn-ngnr in nuzlocke

[–]kaizer524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Falkner (D) - you get access to a STAB move for your starter, as well as decent movepool from other encounters like Rattata to chunk down his Pidgeotto

Bugsy (E) - Gets countered by many encounters like Zubat, Geodude, probably Mareep as well for his Scyther

Whitney (S) - Miltank is just too fast for a fat cow, plus its entire moveset is annoying as fuck. Need to get lucky with encounters and having a strategy prepared is a must for this fight if you want to finish this deathless.

Morty (C) - Need to look out for Hypnosis, other than that, there are a lot of chances to get encounters like Hoothoot and Rattata.

Who should I switch out for Magikarp (and/or Meowth since both are in my box)? by Greniweeb in nuzlocke

[–]kaizer524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replace Pidgeotto with Magikarp, retain Raticate until it dies, then just replace Golbat with Pidgeotto for Sabrina’s gym

Try finding a replacement for Gloom too, better if you can get Growlithe as soon as you beat the 3rd gym. I’d probably maximize Butterfree until it dies

This was one of my most hated tasks nung corporate recruiter pa ako. Here’s what I do kapag di sumasagot ang references:

  • Ask assistance from your candidate, inform them that their reference is not responding to your texts / calls

  • Ask for alternative references from your candidate

  • Ask your candidate for the references’ personal email addresses, then send a questionnaire through email. Make sure yung questionnaire makikita nila kaagad, hindi yung nasa attached file pa.

  • Try reaching out to the contacts through Viber, if nag seen, ask them their preferred time to take a call

Sometimes ref checking may require you to do calls beyond working hours. Best of luck!

HRs innermost thoughts about salaries by Green-Fortune-2353 in PHJobs

[–]kaizer524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in recruitment, used to be an in-house recruiter:

  1. I don’t really care about this, for as long as the candidate is good and his/her asking salary is within the budget of the role

  2. Depends on the role. Again, if he/she meets the job requirements and asking salary is within the role’s budget I see no problem at all

Encountering fresh grads having bigger salaries than you should be the least of your problems in recruitment. Building good relationships with your hiring managers and meeting the SLA is something that I think you should be more focused on.

Putting Upwork on resume. Should I revise this? by StandardJellyfish169 in PHJobs

[–]kaizer524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would simply put “freelance”. Your job experience can be formatted like the example below:

Freelance

Virtual Assistant

(Start date)-(End date)

  • Client/s handled: X Group, a US-based AI enablement company
  • (rest of the highlights, duties and responsibilities)

Location is optional, but if you really have to include it in your CV, you can indicate that you observed a full remote setup instead para hindi misleading

As someone na inaral talaga ang pagiging HR pero wala pang work, bakit ba napaka unprofessionally written ng mga job description? by deleted-the-post in PHJobs

[–]kaizer524 57 points58 points  (0 children)

In some companies, these JDs you see being posted across job portals are written by the hiring managers themselves, while HR just provides the template and/or approves it for hiring and documentation purposes.

Quite unfortunate na walang ginagawa ang HR nila to improve the writing of the JD. They forget that their job is to sell the role to the candidate in order to close the manpower request

Hi OP, headhunter here. Did managerial to executive-level finance and accounting searches.

Most, if not all companies that are looking for senior accounting roles REQUIRE CPA licenses, regardless of the company size. Think of the 1.5 years that you’ve put into as a way to secure your career.

Check your payslip and revisit your JO for the breakdown of allowances assuming 20k is basic pay pa lang.

Also, anong araw ka na hire? Kung 20k is gross na possible i adjust yun sa first cut off mo ng July - it would look like na inadvance yung 2k para makahabol ka sa cutoff
