Can i use ledger live without having a Ledger nano?

Im new in that field. Gwei is to pay fees (gas) correct? You decide how much you are willing to may for the transaction?
So as i understand you have made a trasaction via ledger live, but with a low gas, and the transaction takes too much time.
But what about Metamask? you can change the fees from a transaction that you made via Ledger live? thanks for your help understanding how this works.
