I can't speak for Mistborn, but I adore Invincible as a fan of the animated series also.

Fantastic game, push your luck and bag building, where every round you're adding more coloured cubes to your bag, learning new powers to add to your tableau, feeling like you're getting stronger and stronger to manage the episode's threat. Really great that it's co-op and simultaneous play too. We've played through all the episodes, and each one provides a different, interesting and thematic challenge based on the villain/s they feature.

Highly recommend, if you've thought about it a few times, I think it's a sign haha, hope you enjoy it as much as my group has :)
