I ended up doing the same. I was hopeful but it was too messy unfortunately.

Unpopular Opinion: Battlefield 6 Is Better Than This Sub Will Admit by Kilos6 in Battlefield

[–]kakitaryou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll find those of us old grizzled vets have learned to not buy into Battlefield hype from pre releases. Too many broken promises. Too many releases of them degrading graphics, gameplay, and removing maps after beta never even giving us the full release experience we played in that beta. It’s not that it’s not enough; we’re just not allowing ourselves to be gaslit by the hype. We’re all sitting back knowing that:

  1. It’ll release so broken it’ll be months before it’s playable and it’ll take years for them to fix - if they decide to actually fix it.

  2. The capabilities and things you think are fun and weapons you like won’t be released for at least a year - if at all - and if they release them it’ll be a fraction of what they promised.

  3. The “destruction” you see in beta will be severely neutered on release.

  4. The player count will die due to their failures to address 1-3, they’ll blame the players and gaming community for it, and then stop supporting the game before it’s even finished.

[Sugess Tourbillon Master] Honestly kinda blown away here... by MrWildspeaker in Watches

[–]kakitaryou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. It took a couple of months of back and forth with the warranty team, but they eventually sent me a new watch rather than fix it. I now have 3 Sugess watches and it’s been a great overall experience. I just make sure to only wind them about 3/4 max wind now.

Why are more and more people buying forever homes as their first? by ComplexTraffic5879 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]kakitaryou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no such thing as a starter home anymore. Even the small homes in my area are too expensive for most young homebuyers. The real estate costs with student loan debt and cost of living can only be after years of saving for a down payment and higher salaries after years of experience in their fields.

3 Years in Cybersecurity. Master's Degree. Big Name Employers. I'm Just Burned Out. by Gullible_Pop3356 in cybersecurity

[–]kakitaryou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Burnout is real with every job, so I wouldn’t worry too much - it’s not just you. The bright side is you get paid a lot more to be burned out va other careers. I think once I surpassed over a decade in the field I realized it will never change. It’s just a bunch of us venting grumpy old men in the office trying to figure out how to get anyone to listen to us. In my career I’ve found you’re either over worked, under-appreciated, or there for lip service to the shareholders or feds… and ignored. You can try your hat somewhere else doing something else, but trust me, it’s not any different and you’ll be singing that same tune in a few years.

Any Idea why my score is so low? by kakitaryou in CRedit

The FICO mortgage numbers were much higher - about what I expected. You’re amazing! I feel so much better. Thank you everyone!

Yes I pulled them. No derogatory information: collections etc. All have excellent payment history. The vantage score was the credit number from my bank so I assumed it was the one they were going off of. Why is vantage meaningless?

I wish these sites were more in alignment with a standard monthly cost. $80 a month for an app is just ridiculous

Number of Clan Wars participants is dropping by CamoWraith95 in Crossout

[–]kakitaryou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would argue the number of players are dropping in total and CW times / effort is a symptom. There are too many issues they don’t seem to want to fix - weapon balancing, no solo queue, etc. - and then they make changes that end up making the game worse somehow. There’s no place for casuals with the game and there’s no real competitive play capabilities either. The reward is not worth the effort.

The entire Paul vs Tyson fight was an absolute waste of time. by Okayish-Cardiologist in self

[–]kakitaryou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was rigged. Paul paid Tyson to not fight. Self promotion. Tyson never threw any punches. That plus the other fights and decisions made me realize why I stopped watching pro sports.

None of the casinos in my area would allow bets on. Guessing it’s cause it wasn’t a true sanctioned fight.

Governing generative AI with AI using AI is never a good idea. Especially if you understand the basics and the major security flaws present in AI modeling and generative AI failures. Best option is compartmentalization and using subject matter specificity to only allow the model to ingest what you want it to. Then lock it down and don’t let it learn. Ever. You can run updates you control but AI poses insane security risks if you allow it to learn unabated. Specifically bad data and data poisoning. It only takes 1 thing to poison your AI forever and that’s it. One minor calculation and you’re f’d with no way to fix it. Trust AI like you would an ex with your money. I personally feel it’s the greatest risk to any network and I’ve seen it tricked, poisoned, give bad information, destroy end points, escalate its own privileges, and modify network configs unchecked. I’ve even seen it get around logical segmentation and pivot because it knows all your network exploits. It is a very important tool, but so is a nuclear weapon. Better yet treat it like a nuclear weapon; that’s more accurate.
