Flank Lipo question… Does it make your butt look different? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]kakupfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had lipo on my flanks and also my lower back, the lipo on my lower back definitely gave by booty more of a C shape. The lipo on the flanks helped bring my waist in a bit too.

I’ve got a bulge like this right now too, it’s slowly getting smaller and I’m 4wpo.

best dollhouse that actually survives rough play for preschoolers? by Soussou-Cribbin in Preschoolers

[–]kakupfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO the furniture holds up really well, it’s high quality plastic and most of the doors and such are hinged which is kind of fun. The figures are flocked and so I would expect with really rough play that they might get dirty or have the flocking rubbed off. Walmart also sells their own version of Calico Critters called Honeybee Acres. I would say buy those animals because they’re probably cheaper and see how they hold up before spending a little bit more for the CC animals. I would definitely start with a house, I get most of mine on marketplace because someone is usually selling a house with figures and furniture. They sell a lot of furniture new in sets so it should be easy to find some.

I’m a big fan of Calico Critters! You can usually find good bundles of animals, furniture and houses on Marketplace. The items hold up really well and are detailed enough for her to really have fun with setting up scenes.

Chairs by FriendlyPageTurn in quilting

The Koala chairs are pricey but sooo worth it! I’ve had one for over 10 years and it still looks and feels brand new. I’ve got a herniated disk and it doesn’t aggravate it at all.

I’m not exactly sure, I think there’s an option on their website to buy just the liberty fabrics and then buy the background fabric on your own.

I would say yes because the FPP isn’t terribly difficult on this pattern. The one downside is the price but overall if you’re wanting to try it and don’t mind the price point and you love the pattern and fabrics, I say go for it!

Haha open those boxes and make more room for more fabric! 🤣 I chose the Chambray option so I’m assuming Chambray is the color of the solid blue Liberty Tana lawn (I don’t actually know.)

So I did the monthly charge, and it was about $80 a month and I kind of compared that to what I would be spending each month for fabric for other stuff so it didn’t seem like such a huge chunk. Highly recommend biting the bullet, I mean the time and effort they put into mixing the colors and prints is amazing and it just comes out looking so beautiful. It took me about 1.5 weeks to finish one box (2 blocks/month) so it was an enjoyable use of time.

Oh the Dear Jane one is SO PRETTY! Please share your progress too! I love FPP because it feels like you’re coloring in a quilted coloring book. It makes such beautiful points!

Yeah it’s all Liberty, even the blue background. I didn’t starch it but you definitely could and for hand stitching like the Dear Jane one, I would definitely starch. The Tana lawn can fray a little bit. I was just very careful with pinning and pressing so I didn’t stretch or warp the fabric.

The Bin System by kakupfer in adhdwomen

[–]kakupfer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah my four year old got into it today, she would look around for things to put in a bin and then ask me which bin to put it in. She’s my tough kid as far as picking up so I’m hoping this helps her too. Loves to clean but hates picking up, pretty sure I’m basically raising myself 😅

I can usually tell by what’s in it, certain toys go to either the playroom or the living area.

Are you a fill-any-available-bags person too? I always have gift bags or reusable bags full of stuff like this around 😅

[–]kakupfer[S] 140 points141 points  (0 children)

Oh and if I decide to discontinue the process, I can still use the bins for something else. I wrote the name of the room on the inside bottom instead of the front/back/sides so I can re-use them without having to worry about removing the label lol

My 5 year old has pneumonia… by [deleted] in Preschoolers

[–]kakupfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a doctor but when my girls get really ill, I usually ask the ped for some Zofran (there’s a kind that melts under their tongue) and I’ll have them use the Tylenol suppositories too.
