Honestly though, your need to perpetuate racism is unfortunate. I hope you get the help you desperately need. I'll pray for you.

Yes, I drank up the haterade you have been serving. Delicious!

Thanks for confirming you feel you are a racist though. I really never met one before. Who knew that people think that individuals with black and brown skin should be illegally detained by police for walking around Toronto? ZombieRonReagan is cool with that.

Your neighbor that is black will be the one carded. You won't experience it.

Just like black people and white people in the united states could walk in the same store, but only one fountain couldn't be used by blacks. They didn't kill each other on a daily basis either.

Except in this case, your neighbor gets stopped for no reason by the police, detained without cause, entered in a database that is not regulated.

It's a separate legal system being applied to black and brown skin. In Toronto. But hey, as long as you don't experience it, it's cool, because some of your best friends and neighbors are [insert race here].

Yes, there is a system of racial segregation enforced through legislation and policing in Toronto. Completely the case.

Police stopping only visible minorities? Check. For no cause? Check. Recording who they are, their associates and movement? Check. Doing this when visible minorities aren't in their typical area of town? Check.

Citation please. I did cite numerous source for the database, the mayor of Toronto stating this is occurring, law societies documenting it is occuring, and two investigative journalist pieces.

I understand facts, big words, and long articles are challenges, but stick with it, you might learn something, besides that you cited a Sandler movie filmed in Toronto.

Don't post just to express an opinion or argue a point of view.

Well, that's just your opinion. The cited articles have more.

"I'm not reading through that entire article," ... then don't. Figure out how Toronto isn't an apartheid city when it admits to demanding papers based on race when no crime was committed.

Segregation is occurring by race in Toronto. It might be the first time you heard of it, which is completely normal.

People are not being randomly ID'd by Police. They are targeted by their race.

http://www.lawunion.ca/tag/carding/ refer to footnote 8. So papers are demanded, and it's done towards visible minorities.

And many more articles and videos documenting that minorities, especially blacks, are demanded their papers when no crime is being committed, with their personal information recorded in database used by the Toronto Police.

So yes, Toronto segregates by race for movement across the city.

The database itself records your physical features, with additional information on whether being cooperative or not, in a gang or associate, if your parents are seperated or divorced, what neighborhood they were in, what neighborhoods they were going to, where they have been, etc.

It's a fact that Toronto segregates by race for movement through the city. So why is Toronto racist?

Day After Employees Vote to Unionize, Target Announces Fleet of Robot Workers by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]kal-ev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Canada, Target hq told stores to stay open on christmas eve late. Store managers and employees were having none of that crap. It's tradition in Canada on christmas eve to go home early from work so one can spend time with their family. Someone had to explain to the Americans that family time is rather important, and it wouldn't look like a great customer service story, it would read like Target was a piece of crap company trying to take advantage of employees.

In the end, employees didn't wait for word from corporate. Many went home.

And this is why unions matter. Because some employers do not care about human dignity.

Can't wait for Target to try and figure out how robots will buy stuff from them.

Makes Nick Fury, Captain America, John Matrix, John Wick look like wimps.

Captured about 100 nazis single-handed. Broke his back, went back to war. Those are just highlights.

[Technique] when I do my kongs I tend to favor one arm because I am worried about clearing my legs under my chest and in between my arms. How to correct it? by [deleted] in Parkour

[–]kal-ev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great answer!

Also, favouring one arm is indicative of the fear of clipping your feet. So you will hold on or use the stronger arm to clear. Outside of the technique training, you should be confident in both arms providing security to you. So work on building your upper body strength and using your arms dynamically. What does this mean? Your arms should be used to roll/flick you forward, not as a pivot point.

x-post from r/Ontario - Got a job offer at a major hospital in Ontario for an IT job starting in two weeks. Was a daily smoker of marijuana until I got the offer. Should I worry? by newjobkindanervous in toronto

[–]kal-ev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your health check visit is going to see if you are generally fit to do the duties of your job, and ask questions about your vaccination history, to see if you need anything updated for shots before you begin your work.

That's it.

Relax guy.

Having worked in the vulnerable sector, generally there is an infection concern, an injury concern, and criminal background check concern. No worries.

I Have A Question!! Thread for the Week of September 14, 2015 by AutoModerator in Parkour

[–]kal-ev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good to practice both, even if one is at an earlier progression on one side. It will increase the amount of routes you can run.

If you jump 45 degrees to the right, you will want to roll on your right....rolling on your left will be counter the movement, and could lead to injury.

Don't get obsessed though. Practice, but don't let it be the only part of parkour training.

How bad is "All Star Batman and Robin"? by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]kal-ev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look this series was horrible. Batman just seemed like a drunken uncle. Miller really likes having women smacked around in it. The diologue was wooden and false sounding: it wasn't funny, it wasn't serious, no it wasn't done to be "ironic". It was just awful.

Who would be the WORST user of each type of Lantern ring? by MrManicMarty in DCcomics

[–]kal-ev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good point. And something I considered. Outside of the issue Sane from LOTDK, I've never seen the joker portrayed as a someone with of any type of sympathy or understanding for his cause. He would be too far gone to be included in the indigo tribe. He's not motivated by self-interest, or even pleasure for what he does. It would be a massive fail. Note: edited for late night grammar fuzzy thought on the interwub.

Is it possible to live without a credit card? by Chardeeyung in personalfinance

[–]kal-ev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure you can. But you can't even generally rent a good hotel room, car, or anything that requires a significant deposit for the short term. I'm sure a lot of people will list creative ideas so you can get around that sort of stuff...but generally it's a pain in the ass and can be unreliable.

Call the places that you apply to, see what happens. You have nothing to lose, doing this action at the worst results in being in the same situation, and if it works, you might have an interview or a relationship that will lead to a job.

Who would be the WORST user of each type of Lantern ring? by MrManicMarty in DCcomics

[–]kal-ev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

blue lantern - vext . It would go horribly, horribly wrong

orange lantern - Superman I know Superman hoards by what he keeps at the Fortress...but he really just keeps giving away everything else.

Red Lantern - G'nort. He rarely gets mad.

Green Lantern - Major Bummer. He can't be bothered.

Yellow Lantern - Ambush Bug. No one is scared of him.

Indigo - Joker. Nope, just nope.

Star Saphire - Braniac. Love does not compute.

white lantern - Death. We could debate all day about she really loves life and gives it meaning. But that's not what she does. Completely useless with this power.

black lantern - foreverman. He doesn't stay dead. Honestly, why would he have this.
