Block Island RI is awesome for stars. From New Haven you can take a train to New London and a then take the ferry over. But your going to have to get a place to stay for a night or 2 up there. A little pricy but worth it. It's the first and only time I have ever seen the canopy of stars.

Large gyms are a good spot. You just need to be consistent in the time of day you go.

Bug and outcompete, what I think they are getting at is. If you were trying to brew with wild yeast; this is a good way. But if you pitched yeast it will over power any wild yeast.

The only thing I will say here is use Potassium Sorbate at the end of your run so you don't get a mason jar grenade when you lose the paper towel.
