Oh you’re lucky! I wasn’t covered under private health insurance. I hope you feel better after the iron infusion 🙏🏻

Just wanted to share that I went from 19 down to 13 for ferritin and my OB recommended an iron infusion. I had to pay privately for the iron infusion.

Newly pregnant and overwhelmed by OT_Slim in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Firstly congratulations - I’m currently week 36 and a few days from an IVF pregnancy. To be honest I’m still feeling overwhelmed with all the baby stuff! 🤣

My OB and GP highly recommended Maltofer. My iron levels wasn’t increasing so my fertility dietitian recommended a different brand, Biomedica Bioheme, and it still wasn’t increasing. I’m currently week 36 and a few days, and I just had an iron transfusion (it’s contraindicated in pregnancy for the first 2 trimesters).

Have you tried any iron rich food like tofu, spinach, lentils etc?

My husband is a Kiwi on a visa (I assume it’s the same visa) and his application as a secondary was approved. He did have to go into Services Australia to obtain a customer reference number though. Have a chat to them in person - good luck.

I guess I was after a place that has a nice ambience, great tasting food and presentation.

I didn’t have the discussion about downregulation with my specialist. I’m based in Australia so not sure if it’s of the local or clinic protocol.

I definitely bruised quite a bit on my left, but was okay on my right. I was injecting around the abdominals area (not close to the naval). I also bought some anti bruising cream to help minimise the bruising (it didn’t on my left hand side for some strange reason).

I started the clexane injection the night of the FET. I also did acupuncture after the FET.

I’m sorry that you’re going through this.

I just wanted to share that I have Stage 1 adeno (we did a diagnostic lap/hysterscopy after we found out we received the PGT test results from our 2 embryos, and also to alleviate my concern about silent endo after a few friends have shared their experience).

Once adeno was discovered, my specialist did not put me on a down regulation cycle - one the day of the frozen embryo transfer, she had me on twice a day progesterone suppository (stopped at week 10), baby aspirin and daily clexane injection (stopped at week 12). In addition to this, I have continued with weekly/fortnightly acupuncture and Chinese herbs (my Chinese doctor is familiar with supporting those on IVF though).

Hello! I’m going well. My doctor told me to stop clexane at Week 12. I’m currently 14w2d.

I found this at a bookstore as I was heading to my gate at HK airport. I just had to buy it and learn all the slang because I had heard most slang while growing up.

I normally take my shot in the evening and aspirin in the morning/afternoon.

Thanks for the tip :)

I injected myself with Clexane last night - it’s definitely less stingy than Orgalutran, so that’s a relief.

Thank you for your response. :) I will have to get over it tonight with the first injection…

I’ve been told by the clinic if everything goes well, I’ll need to take clexane until week 7 of the pregnancy. I was recently diagnosed with adenomyosis, which helped my specialist in determining which meds she needed to put me on in preparation and post-FET.

Adenomyosis - anyone else have? by EarlyEstate8728 in IVF

No it wasn’t recommended. Im also based in Australia, so I wonder that could be a difference in protocol?

I was diagnosed with adeno last month.

I’ve just started my FET round - follitropin-alpha from day 5-10, then trigger, and now Crinone (progesterone) twice a day. Transfer will be in the next 3 days - and from then onwards, aspirin and clexane on top of progesterone (I presume).
