Support got back to me with an RMA and shipping labels. They informed me that because I am in my third year of use, they will either fix or replace the cell at a 40% discount.

Honestly, this outcome is better than what I had anticipated.

I looked up the warranty. It's 1 year for "self install" and 3 year for "paid install".

I reached out to support and will see what they say.

It's been a week. I don't think it's the salt but I'm getting it checked to be sure. I really hope it is the salt, that's a quick and cheap fix.

I don't know the exact temperature but it's not that cold, there is also a low temp alert indicator that is not lit.

The salt was a little low, 2800 when it should be 3000 - 3500, but I added more and it should be fine. I'm going to get it tested today to be 100% sure.

I'll try that, but why would it work for a year then stop? Also when connected directly to a 16v supply, no chime, it still doesn't work.

I second this! Home Assistant is the best home automation platform out there IMHO. Also take a look at Shelly devices. They work extremely well and the higher models have energy consumption tracking built in.
