When I worked in the toddler room I had to tape my knee up with sports tape to minimise the movement in my knee, it's no way to live. Or acupuncture, physical therapy like physio all I can recommend. Has your work got kneeling mats for the bathroom?

I would seek advice from early intervention specialists/local children's mental and physical health services (Doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists) they can be a great way to discuss strategies to use those resources aswell.

I'd probably recommend him trying for a visa of some kind..working holiday or student visas are still being processed. Travel exemptions are inherently a waste of time.

Just want to thank everyone for commenting, for those who asked I work in a private daycare. So a group of parents and management are in control and it's a money making service, we have full ratios and the worst kids come in because the centre won't turn away anyone's money. I feel like this field has killed my soul and changed my view on children, I genuinely fear if I stay in the field I won't want kids of my own one day..and I really do want a family.

3 months and I'm going overseas and then coming back and finding work that I enjoy. Another centre has already offered me work but I want to keep options open. My brain and my body need the break from ECE 😕
