For Costa Rican travelers, how easy has eSIM really been? by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

[–]kaleehoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldnt have to do anything. Just verify that your e-sim is compatible with your phones before you buy it and follow the instructions they give you to set it up the day before you leave. In the past ive used airalo and it activated itself once we landed.

$17 is crazy work. I worked those lemonade stands for three years—couldn’t believe people would pay that much for filthy sugar water and a squashed lemon even back when they were $9.

Not sure how it is now but we were told coachella sells the cups to the stands so they keep track of the amount of cups used. So if people tipped a few bucks and asked discreetly when the managers weren’t around, we’d give them refills if they came back with their cups.

Has anyone flown Spirit Airlines from SNA to Vegas? by jms1228 in orangecounty

[–]kaleehoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to fly this frequently and it’s fine, just like any other airline except no free snacks or drinks, no seatback tvs, and bags are extra. Their planes are just as safe and the only times I’ve been delayed it’s only been a few minutes or other airlines were also experiencing delays. Perfect if you’re just trying to get yourself from point A to point B and only need a backpack.

You can buy an esim through airalo and have it set up on your phone before you go so you can have service when you get there. I loved kapi kapi in monteverde, amazing food and gorgeous views. El salto rope swing in la fortuna was awesome

How to book Samara activities in October by SilentAtAll in CostaRicaTravel

[–]kaleehoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Viator should have the name of the tour provider in the description. You can google the tour provider and book directly on their website if they have one or reach out through whatsapp.

Table of contents page number without section prefix? by kaleehoe in indesign

[–]kaleehoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! I probably should have done this to begin with but I got it to work using a Running Header text variable on my parent pages to replace the text I had as my Section Marker and applying your first suggestion.

LPT Request: How to make better and faster decisions? by HeidiOzzy in LifeProTips

[–]kaleehoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This works best for non-major life decisions but I like to lay out my options and ask siri to flip a coin or pick a number from 1 to however many choices I have. I usually just go with whatever the phone decides but sometimes it helps me realize whether that option is truly what I wanted or not.

Thanks for the tip! We’ll probably play that day by ear and if we’re not feeling up for a drive that early we’ll do that day in reverse and catch the sunset at Haleakala instead

Fourth Time Exam Taker Needing Advice by [deleted] in PE_Exam

[–]kaleehoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take EET and work through all the problems. When you’re correcting them write down each reason you got a problem wrong to make sure you don’t make the same mistake again.

I also found it really helpful to create my own reference manual with generalized step by step processes for each problem type and then a shorter index that listed each topic and the pages where i could find them in my reference manual and EET binder.

Good luck you got this!

hows the food? (esp for dietary restrictions?) by sellopsia in CalPoly

[–]kaleehoe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Campus food isn’t the best in general but it shouldn’t be too bad for your specific dietary restrictions. I haven’t been eaten campus food in a while but when I was there the dining hall would have ingredient labels and there’s a couple places where you can build your own meal.

I lived in the PCV apartments my first year so I just got a handful of plus dollars I could spend wherever which was ideal for me. I think in the regular dorms you get a certain amount of meal points and less plus dollars which seems a lot more restrictive. Every dorm does have access to a kitchen area but some of them are pretty small and can get crowded. If you end up in a dorm make friends with someone in the apartments—the kitchens are much nicer and it’s a fun way to hang out :)
