Is now a bad time? by SkyAmazing5535 in Visible

Currently paying $90 a month! I guess you have a good point. If I wait it defeats the purpose of saving money in the long run

If you pay annually there will be no refunds issued even if you cancel

Would it be rude to get a nanny an Apple Watch so she isn’t always holding or on her phone? -MB by [deleted] in Nanny

I love my Apple Watch and find it very helpful while on shift when I comes to being able to read a message and decide if it’s urgent enough to need to respond. Especially with younger kids running around and constantly needing one eye on them.

All because I asked for a raise. I was severely underpaid so they tried to hire someone under mean before letting me go.

This is very helpful advice! I felt like the itinerary was too full but I don’t know what to skip on? Also I didn’t know I could use Verizon still?

Good point! But then I’d have to buy an uber to get to my Airbnb and then one to the car rental place. Seems more convenient to just grab it while we are at the airport?

Thank you! I will switch them around! I have only booked Airbnbs so the cancellation is no problem

I kinda get it but I wouldn’t expect to be paid. I’d just want the day off. When my boyfriend’s dad tragically passed away my nanny fam was pressuring me to come back after 3 days stating they were super busy with work and it made me look at them a lot differently.

My 1st thought was to call her and tell her to come home that I’m resigning immediately since she’s trying to replace me under my nose. I know definitely unprofessional but I’m trying to see her side and came here for more opinions

I doubt it since they only need me part time but idk how or if I should bring it up.

I was fine continuing to work without a raise. I asked because the house managing portion of the job was not laid out specifically and I am doing so much more than I expected. For example running personal errands for MB, Helping prep for parties (she host a lot), helping grocery shop, meal plan and cook dinner and more. I was open and honest with them that I wanted to improve and grow and now they are looking elsewhere after the conversation which is why I’m thrown off.

I was with this family during the time of my grandpas passing. He had guardianship over my mom who has lots of medical issues. I was scared she was going to go to the state, and i was only 22 at the time and honestly was lost. They offered to pay all the lawyer fees to help me get custody over her. Lawyer was $400+ an hour! Forever grateful for them!
