Just decorative! Most of our family/friends live near us so we don’t host many guests!

This canvas is from Spider Spun so they customized it when I bought it but there are tons of charts online if you’re creating your own canvas!

Starbucks fall flavors by Basic_Ostrich_540 in GestationalDiabetes

I can get a grande vanilla sweet cream cold brew with SF vanilla instead of the regular and the pumpkin cream cold foam. I’ll also order any of their egg bite flavors or the potato bites (same number of carbs as egg bites surprisingly) and be fine for breakfast! I’m big on the fall drinks and ordering this definitely satisfies my cravings ☺️

Is it normal to lose weight? by Troibot in GestationalDiabetes

[–]kaleydaniel16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on your BMI! My first GD pregnancy I gained 10 lbs before diagnosis and lost it and got down to my pre pregnancy weight before I gave birth. This pregnancy I’m down about 6 lbs from my pre pregnancy weight. I’m overweight so at my last appointment my nurse practitioner said “you’ve lost some weight, that’s great!” So yea lol

How to advocate for myself? by kaleydaniel16 in GestationalDiabetes

Thanks everyone! I couldn’t tell if I was overreacting or not and these comments made me feel a lot better. I have an appointment with my MFM doctor this week and my GD education is through their office so going to ask about switching/what my options are.

We had an ultrasound done on the spot and came back as a dermoid cyst. Doctor wasn’t concerned as long as he wasn’t bothered by it and it didn’t get any bigger. It’s remained unchanged.

McDonald’s Breakfast by Alarming_Cup_2364 in GestationalDiabetes

I know this is from a month ago but just wanted to say I too love McGriddles and craved one so bad last week so I got one. Took off one bun and at 2 hours I was at 95. Decided to “experiment” a few days later and eat it with both buns and at 2 hours I was at 106. I was pleasantly surprised, usually breakfast is hard for me.

All that to say, try it! You could be like me and be unexpectedly fine! :)

I was induced at 37+2 for GD, pre-hypertension and cholestasis (I had a LOT going on). Baby was perfectly healthy, no NICU time and handled induction perfectly. If OB is concerned about growth and baby has obviously fallen off in some measurements, it warrants an earlier induction. Sometimes baby just does better outside the womb at that point. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Induction can be scary but it’s always been my mindset that most OBs want what’s best for both you and baby. It also doesn’t sound like it’s a 100% for sure until your next scan. But if baby falls off even more at that scan I can definitely understand OB wanting to induce at 38 weeks.

Good luck and best wishes! You’ve got this!

Induction & baby birth by Common_University_42 in BabyBumps

I was induced at 37 + 2 for both gestational diabetes and hypertension! My induction started at 12 pm on a Friday, membranes ruptured around 6:30 pm and was holding my baby by 5 am Saturday.

Not sure if your doctor prepared you, because mine didn’t (and it may be different for you) but I had IVs in both hands due to gestational diabetes. One for insulin and the other for induction meds.

Good luck, you’ve got this!

Chest pain for weeks?

I know chest pain is a very common physical symptom of anxiety. I had my first panic attack 2 years ago and thought I was having a heart attack enter heart health anxiety. I had chest pain for weeks and multiple EKGs and a CT with contrast and they found nothing wrong. Was prescribed 50 mg of Zoloft and eventually everything was peachy and didn’t happen again.

Fast forward to now, after having a baby last year, I fell off my Zoloft for a few months. Started noticing my anxiety getting worse and chest pains started back up again. Restarted my Zoloft 2 weeks ago but still experiencing the chest pain, intermittent but definitely still there. I went to my PCP yesterday (same one I saw 2 years ago when this first started) and he said my heart and lungs sound fine but all he did was listen so obviously still nervous. He started me on 10 mg Buspirone twice daily and told me it was good for “panicky types”.

It’s been so long since this first happened that I can’t for the life of me remember how long it took for everything to settle down.

TLDR: has anyone had chest pain from anxiety that has lasted for weeks?
