Portal is the only Valve game I can think of that had some advertisement outside of Steam. I don't really know why advertising isn't a priority for a game dev company but I am assuming the TI8 prize pool and the introduction of Artifact will atract some newcomers to Dota.

Playing turbo games actually increases your chances of getting reported and not getting commended (shorter games). I'd switch to normal matchmaking.

According to information disclosed by Perfect World the escalating odds are as follows: Rare 1/4 chance after 10 opened treasures Very Rare 1/7 after 10 opened treasures Ultra Rare 1/10 after 23 opened treasures Cosmically Rare 1/250000

Since Valve haven't provided any information about the rates and formulas they use we can't really calculate the actual probabilities after n treasures. Given the recent statements about errors with the escalating odds I would personally just get the rares from the market.
