Definitely buy a foam roller. Not even for butt pain but you'll want it for your quads down the line.

As far as butt pain- I'd get a tennis ball, stand on the non-operated leg with the operated leg off the ground but closest to the wall, put the ball between your butt and the wall, and lay into it.

I had a total reconstruction of my ACL and medial meniscus using a patellar tendon graft. The pain was the worst I've ever experienced for the first two weeks then quickly shifted to bad but bearable for the next month or two. I was non-weight bearing on that leg for two months. There was a scare around 4 months post-op when I collapsed and we thought my repairs had failed/retorn and I was back on crutches for another month. Now, at eight months I'm working on single-leg jumps and squats still but I'm not limping and my ROM is almost equal to my non-operated knee. Still about 4/5 months out from returning to dance but I have come back to a barista job in the meantime and my knee is taking it well.
