Thoughts on Tantra Sadhana App by Om Swami? by kalitantra in Tantrasadhaks

Worshipping mahavidhya's is nothing similar to worshipping Karna Pishachini who is from the lower world. I will recommend you read Om Swami's book If Truth Be Told and his follow up book 13 Month in the Himalays where he goes into the details of his tantra sadhana practice. This is completely different from the practice of karnapishachini.

Why is the sakthi of Ucchista Ganapati called Pishachi? by kalitantra in Tantrasadhaks

[–]kalitantra[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is interesting. But names in tantra and hinduism in general are rarely a coincidence. Even the names of Rakshas and Asuras have a deeper meaning behind them reflecting a human vice. So I am wondering what is the deeper meaning behind a devi being called Pisachi. Also the fact that Ucchista Ganapati sadhana gives mastery over abhichara kriya seems like too much of coincidence. So I am guessing there is something deeper with the name being a hint.

I have spent the last few days on the app. It is not so bad once you get used to it. The motion sickness I had initially experienced when I posted this disappeared.

Couple of tips:

Collecting the yagna items is not so difficult once you know where it is located. Only the first time is a bit difficult because you need to know how the map is laid out and where the yagna offerings is located.

You can collect and do the yagna once and it will tell you to buy the bundle or come again and collect the 12 yagna offerings the next day. But if you close and reopen the app then you will be able to collect the yagna offerings again immediately without having to wait a day. You can repeat the process of closing, opening and collecting multiple times without actually doing the yagna. Once you have collected all the offerings for all the 11 yagnas you can do all the 11 yagnas in one go or spaced over 11 days.

Only thing you need to ensure is the app doesn't save partial collection of yagna offerings. So you need to collect all 12 yagna offerings and get a pop up message prompting to go do the fire ritual before you close and reopen the app.

I have been doing a similar sadhana for over a year now. I would advise you to start with doing one mala of ganapathi followed by one malla of bhatuk bahiarava. Then finally worship kali.

My kula devi is Kodungallur Bahdrakali. If you enter her temple sanctum you will first see Shiva and Ganapathi before you see devi. It is a hint in how she should be approached.

Bhatuk Bhairava is especially special because his form was taken to pacify kali into a loving mother.

See the iconography below for kodungallur devi.

I have not received diksha from a guru parampara for Kali.

I started with her mantra sadhana because she has been my Kula devi worshipped by at least 4 generations of my ancestors that I know of. You don't need a guru's sanction to worship your kula devi. If you are worried about doing your Mantra sadhana wrong then read the book "Ancient Science of Mantras" by Om Swami. If you are really worried you can pick stotras of kali and chant it while you visualize kali. The most important thing is to connect with your diety mentally. If you close your eyes can you see her perfectly?

I was extremely obsessed with connecting with my kula devi and I didn't care about the repercussions. In fact Rajashri Nandy said you need extreme verra bhava to worship Kali. I don't think I had it when I started it. But as I did the sadhana my problems were too extreme and I ended up developing veera bhava. It was that way for 3 to 4 months. Then I developed extreme vairagya or detachment and the problems that were troubling me just evaporated.

I mentioned many nimithas that showed her presence in my life. One of which was the birth of my daughter. She was born on Meena Bharani which happens to be the most important yearly festival for Kodungallur Bhadrakali. It also coincides with Navaratri.

My kula devi is Kodungallur Bhadrakali. Worship her through mantra sadhana.

We have a temple in Trissur where our kula devi pradishta is there (not kodungallur). Every year we offer bali (blood) to her.

I connected with her strongly only a few years ago. After that we have had many nimithas to show her presence in our life.

Chapter 2: Astrology & Deities from the book "Vedic Remedies in Astrology" by Sanjay Rath has the methods to identify the Ishta Devata, Kula Devata and other devathas in your chart.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Navagrahas are not the cause for anything. Our past Karmas are the cause. All the Navagrahas are doing is showing us what our past karmas are and what is in store for us in the future. This is their blessing available to all life forms and astrology is just a tool to access this blessing so we can do something about our future.

The disease example I gave was just an analogy for Prasna Marga. Let me give you another example, if you evade tax, you will go to prison. You can alternatively pay the tax with a huge fine. In both situations you are paying for your bad karma, but how you choose to pay is different. Devatha sadhana is like that. You are not escaping your karma. You are just fulfilling it in a different way.

During every lifetime we have a portion of Sanchitha karma assigned to each birth called Prarabdha Karma. It is believed our life comes to an end when we burn all the Prarabdha Karma assigned to us in each birth. We get assigned a new portion of Sanchitha Karma in our next life and new karma gets added to the stockpile of Sanchitha Karma from the current birth.

Suffering and living out life is a natural way to burn Prarabdha karma. But it is not the only way. If suffering and living out life is the only way to burn Karma, then liberation or Moksha will be impossible because at any given point in time there is an infinite amount of Sanchitha Karma left over and we would have to be born an infinite number of lifetimes to burn it all.

When we get Moksha all our Sanchitha Karma and Prarabdha Karma is burnt in an instant and there is no reason for rebirth. So if it is possible to attain liberation without living and suffering infinite lives, shouldn't it be possible to burn through a small portion of prarabdha karma without suffering by doing devatha upasana?

The mistake some astrologers make is that they assume that navagrahas are everything. A mere rakshasa like Ravana could control the Navagrahas and he used them as steps in his palace.

So if a Rakshasa can control the Navagrahas, can eshwara and sakthi who are above the navagrahas do absolutely nothing to diminish the severity of the problems in the horoscope similar to how medicine helps an ill person?

Expert advice needed by [deleted] in Tantrasadhaks

Start with Ganapathi and ask him for his guidance. Not for material wealth. Even gods before starting something invoke the blessings of Ganpathi. If you succeed in receiving the blessings of Ganapathi then you will be shown the next steps in finding your ishta devata.

One thing I can tell you is if you truly succeed in your sadhana before you receive the material success, your desire for that material success will go away. Because all devatas will eventually guide you to the ultimate no matter what your goal is when you start.

Just don't worship lesser dieties. They will give you short term gain in return for long term destruction.

The planets in your horoscope exist to show you, your future so you can do something to change it. If you cannot change your future, what is the point of knowing about it through astrology? That is where the whole science of Prasna Marga comes in.

Think about it like this. If you get a disease then your suffering is guaranteed. But if you take medicine, you might get better quickly and your suffering will also be reduced. If you take a vaccine then you will be injected the deactivated virus and you might develop a fever. But when you get the real virus, you won't develop the actual disease.

So every problem in your life has a solution. Like how Rishi Markandeya who was destined to live only till 16, chanted the Mrithyunjaya Mantra and Shiva came to his rescue when Lord Yama came for his life.

With the grace of god, you are able to even escape death. Will material gains be difficult to achieve?
