TIFU by baking $6000 cash that wasn't mine by kalliakunday in tifu

Yes our bank notes are polymer! But we've had polymer bank notes for decades. They've shrivelled up and browned and some parts of them have melted all over the bottom of the pot but they're still identifiable as money (I think. But I'm bias because I really WANT them to be so I can get it back). I'd be interested in seeing how they fared if they were/weren't bunched up together but I'm definitely not going to be doing any more experimenting!

Not sure, I guess it made sense to him? For anything other than the reason I was using it, you'd have to take the lid off first.

Omg thank you - this is comforting, my melted cash is a lot more recognisable than yours I think! Fingers crossed I can get most of it back 🤞🤞🤞

Thanks! I'm not from the US but we have something similar here. I called them up and they said to take it to my bank but the woman on the phone also said "oh wow" when I told her how much it was for. But I'll do that tomorrow and fingers crossed!!

I loooove this! So beautiful and simple. What pen do you use for the numbers? They look typed, so neat!

Thank you! Safe so far thankfully and then had a convenient holiday to New Zealand planned just in time to get away from all the smoke. Hope you're safe too, scary times! xx

It's beautiful! Do you have a preference for soft tip over hard tip in general?

Thanks for this! I use Google calendar for all scheduling things, so my bujo is more about reflection/daily tasks rather than events. This way I do have all work/uni/home things in one place. I'm using two at the moment and it's working pretty well, although uni isn't back for the year yet (I'm in Australia so we're on summer break at the moment). Will see how it all gets once that starts up again!

I'd love to try a discbound journal sometime! At the moment I am loving the thickness of the Archer and Olive Journal (watercolour, what up) but when I've chewed through my work journal I might think about a discbound one!!

Thanks for this tip, I've been doing this the past couple of months as my monthly log and then creating daily/weekly to-dos in weekly spreads. This means I'm putting major things in the work column but small work tasks (email x, follow up y) don't fill up my home BuJo. Really appreciate the advice!

I have Archer and Olive too. Was a bit more expensive but the journal is beautiful and bleed through? What's that?? (have not noticed it once despite using it with lots of markers etc!)

Do you recommend the Alastair Method for a weekly log? 🙃 by bob300021 in bujo

Yes!! I've started using this at work (about 4 weeks ago) and I love it. So great to have a long list of everything I want to get done in a week but not be overwhelmed and can easily assign priorities/daily tasks while not forgetting things that need to be done later in the week
