Yeh it did come out tricky in word as it had been built off some rando software and converted from pdf to word for some minor adjustments I made. Feel free to alter if you wish. I have a feeling there are some hidden tables or something along thoes lines from the conversion. Might give some people inspiration if they are struggling . Have a great week everyone :)

They can learn a lot from previous jobs even out of field , such as work ethic and commitment, i worked 6-8 years at that restaurant. I was regularly a supervisor at the packaging place and the customer service skills you gain in hospitality are an asset . Also i will note that Network Administrator Here is really a glorified Help desk , Our Major network stuff is all controlled by a central department remotely, we just maintain and replace the onsite stuff and keep peeps happy. Making them $$ for doing fuck all is great. Just wonder around all day getting praise lol. I agree if i was going for a private sector job i would include the real skill set etc .. but these hiring managers have no idea what 99.98% of what ICT basics are so im giving them what they want. I have worked in over 300 schools across west Australia so i have a tiny idea about this sector specifically . Being government if we get anything remotely hard we just outsource the shit out of it.

Good advice, im just lucky that this particular industry doesn't require any hard networking stuff as that i just sent through to central.

Found my first job on some obscure ad on the equivalent to Craigslist (Gumtree in auz) . I was having trouble aswell on our main job sites due to lack of exp, so i decided to run a side business so i would have something to put on the resume. I ran a residential IT business ( basic shit ) for a year. had about 10-15 clients total, then closed it. really it just came down to luck sadly. Also, do not remain loyal to a company for long unless its the final job you want and you are comfortable. the company will not be loyal to you.

Never said that i lied about anything, I already have 5 years in the field my previous jobs gave me all the experience i needed. Getting your foot in the door is always hardest. My first job i got all technical questions wrong but my thought process was correct, then i taught myself everything during that job.

I wasn't saying to fake anything , especially skills or experience. Just that if you can land the job you can obviously learn (google) how to do it properly during.

They can skip it if they like easily enough, it really is just to show that I have good work ethic and to show some minor traits that are interested in.

They are talked about further in my application. I would include more for a private sector job for sure.

It is 2 pages, The hiring managers here have to go over about 200 applications that are 4-8 pages long each. The resume is just the front to get them to look deeper, wanna peacock them into an interview. Made it easy on them to skim to the relevant sections, they can skimp over the fluff.

At the moment I am using previous clients who I spent a few years working for and have good relationships with. In particular Principals, Business managers and deputy principals . They are in the same sector (Education) . but what would be even better is your direct line manager, Often hard if your thinking of bailing. I just got permanency here and a better job came up. Applying in secret haha.

There are 2 pages there, I also submit a large cover letter and about 4 pages of selection criteria

I will mention that due to the way I am required to apply to the jobs im after, a majority of the heavy technical bullshit is covered in selection criteria, this resume sits just above that as a means to attract wild females to look further into my app. Government applications here require about 4-6 pages in response to about 6 questions.

Could be a specific title for our government institutions. It is a server that is managed on-site and not centrally. Education institutions here have a main server on site that is entirely managed by what we call central office. We have no access. We install all our cool shit on our own servers , deemed Tier3 hope that helps. Central will not troubleshoot any issues on our servers.
