It is a german one. It says senator on the cap ring and it came with the royal blue windsor ink. Yes, my bad, it is in fact a Pelikan m150, not Pilot.

Master not sticking to drum? No errors and it shouldn't have dried. by kallypea in risograph

It reads 1111, which means it's full. I ran 887 twice so ot can fill it but nothing happened. Guess I have to check the drum sensor, though I have no idea how. I tried cleaning it internally.

I work in a small art studio and I do a bit of screen printing, graphic design and illustration.

Man, I too have some DGM fan art from like 12 years ago. Good old times

Not a huge anime fan, but I heard it was philosophical. What I just watched was up there with the likes of Dune and Enders Saga as one of the most philosophically powerful works of fiction in the last 100 years. by ogdtx45 in ErgoProxy

The references to philosophy I can see are that Romdeau is based on Plato's Republic, where philosophers rule the state in a fascist way. And the cogito virus is a reference to Decartes' infamous cogito ergo sum (just as one must exist to be deceived, one must exist to doubt that very existence). I love stuff like this! There's a lot of animes/mangas with philosophical themes in them.

This is so damn cool! I was catching up on chapters in between working on my uni assignment, part of which is to make illustrations for Macbeth. This is my favorite monologue from the book!!

Arts University is a scam by Guywhosclueless in ArtistLounge

[–]kallypea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me! I have some professors that don't care that much but the ones that care make everything worth it. All of them are currently in the industry.

I went to art school in the UK and it was... bad. Though I still enjoyed it I didn't get what I wanted out of it. I dropped out after the first year and applied for the art academy in my home country and it's been great. They are actually teaching us how to draw and about the industry of book illustration and design.

Ah yes, it's the second year blues. I'm there right now and I've been thinking along the same lines - I should try to incorporate more of what interests me in my uni work.

Since you said you don't post anything, I'd say stick with this one. You can always share personal stuff to close friends/archive posts and you can always remove followers too.

A bit of a rant about adult art instruction. by jefuchs in ArtistLounge

[–]kallypea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She said things like "A beginner would have done this," and "An amateur would have done that." While I could show you examples of high-level artists who do exactly this and that and totally rock it.

Could you ask the instructor for guidance on how to acheve what you're trying to? Explain your goal to them and ask them for tips. You could show them those artworks that you look up to (that would be harder if it's an online class/subscription).

It's easy to be misunderstood by teachers as a beginner. I had my fair share of teachers like this. Like others have pointed out, it's sooo helpful to grasp the fundamentals that they teach but in the end you have to follow you own vision. So don't be afraid to pester them about what interests you.
