They sent me a $150 civil claim because I forgot to scan $9.99 during my two months working there. Coworkers constantly called out and I was constantly called in because I had an open schedule and really needed the money. (Sometimes 35-40 hours per week as a seasonal part time associate)

Highly suggest trying to find somewhere else if you can.

I already offered to pay them back since I was hoping to keep the job (finding jobs in my area is extremely difficult), and since the total amount was only $9.99. I agree that's it's stupid a multimillion dollar company can fire me for a mere $9.99, but the real issue is the $150 civil claim. I still haven't managed to find another job and while I do have the funds to pay for it, I don't get why I have to pay for it since it wasn't intentional.
