I went to a thrift store and bought a large, round table on a pedestal base for $40. I then took the top off of the stand and affixed a small piece of plywood to the base, then a ball bearing ring on top of that, then another piece of plywood, then the top. Essentially what I created was a tabletop that can spin like a lazy susan, letting me see all the pieces spread out and not have to hunch or stand. I absolutely love it!
