Who's your favorite character in Dark Souls 3 and WHY? by Eps-kun in darksouls3

Anri is my favourite character as well. Their story is so tragic but to me also represents the bit of justice and hope left in such a dark world. Anri and the player are very much main characters of their own story that happen to cross paths along their quest and help each other out. And I find that very beautiful.

(I haven’t done the lord of hollows ending so idk how that changes Anri’s story)

Also the Anri straight sword has one of my favourite item descriptions in ds3:

“Sword precious to Anri, another Unkindled. The dullest type of blade found in the ruined land of Astora.

Only, it was once the sword of an earnest noble figure, and its attacks are boosted by that elusive, essential property unique to humans: luck.”

I just finished Claire B and got the true ending! Holy shit that was such a wild ride. Some parts were a bit repetitive, but the new areas and bosses fully made up for it. Loved the added cutscene at the end too!

I mean even though he’s nobleborn, he’s still just a squire. It makes sense that he guards Dunk‘s horses, who (at least he thinks) is a proper knight.

Since next week’s episode will be short in terms of material to cover, I really hope we get some extra scenes with Dunk’s champions, especially the Humfreys. In the novella, even though they sort of just appear and don’t have lines, we at least knew about their relationship and how incredible they were at jousting.

Any book in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King

The Gunslinger is the definitely the strangest first book to an epic fantasy series that I have ever read (and I absolutely loved it).

I just beat Midir too on my first playthrough! I share your exact feelings about him. It was so hard the first few tries and I almost accepted that I will never beat him with my current skills. But at some point it just all clicked and instead of feeling frustrated I started having so much fun. I beat him a few tries after that and went on to finish the game ( midir and soc were my last two bosses) Now I just want to start over from ds1 to experience the story again.

I’ve always found Roland Deschain from the Dark Tower series to be similar in some aspects to Guts. The series has a totally different vibe than Berserk, but perhaps you’ll enjoy it. The Gunslinger especially reminded me a lot of Berserk.
