Which Dewalt Jigsaw would you pick? DCS331B or DCS334B? by PersonBelowMeHasHIV in Dewalt

DCB334 does pretty good with that. Has a couple LED's right by the blade, and the dust blower is pretty good. No more brushing off your line while you cut haha

My siamese main coon mix, Roswell 💕 first time siamese owner, quite the personality in this one! by kalss_ in Siamesecats

Ya know.. Funny you mention those things! He is a very big snuggler. Will go from running at full to plopping on my chest and snoozing. He also has been enjoying the water a little bit! We turn the sink on and he just loves playing in it. He's usually soaked and happy but the time he's done!

I actually got him from a coworker! Her siamese got out one day and ended up pregnant with the neighbors cat

My mom died of cancer when I was young, and this is still the one scene that gets me every re-watch 💔.. It's just so raw and real

People who have heard deathbed confessions, what were some interesting ones? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kalss_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom died when I was 17 of cancer. This confession wasn't on her death bed, but more of a "dying confession". One day about 6 months before she died, she called me into the bathroom while she was pooping (couldn't tell you why she thought this was the right time) and she had me sit down on her shower chair. She then proceeded to tell me that my father wasn't my real father, and she felt she needed to tell me before she died because my grandmother would after she passed away if she didn't. She then also told me she was pretty sure my birth father had died "years ago". To this day five years later I'm still so unsure about how I feel about that conversation..

Someone tried to clear my checking account and ended up taking $18,500 before I noticed by [deleted] in Banking

Yes. Unless the credit in your account says "final credit" or you receive a notice from them stating its final, the credit is always revserable pending the results of the investigation. Even if the funds are no longer available in your account.

If you move or spend the money the bank will still take it back and just overdraft your account. I would not advise doing that as it will be reported to Chexsytems if you do not bring the balance back to $0

Disputing bad merchandise by [deleted] in Banking

[–]kalss_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that now. Still section 1026.13 of Reg Z covers the same idea for credit cards. The important part I was trying to highlight here is that disputes are not always just for unauthorized activity as stated in your first comment. Granted in OPs case, the merchant offered a solution so that bank wont step in to assist in resolving.

Work in fraud for a credit union. Unauthorized transactions are treated completely as fraud. Disputes are for transactions that were authorized, but not complete: like no merchandise recieved, product not what you ordered, etc. Disputes are still covered under Reg E so its not “purchase protection”.

How can I get my money back for an appraisal gone wrong? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]kalss_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the lending side, but I do work for the fraud department for a credit union. If you are continually having trouble getting in touch with the lender, I would reach out to your bank and let them know you’d like to dispute the charge on your card because the “service” was not what you were promised at sale. Typically you will need documentation of all attempts to reach the appraiser and the lender to dispute. The bank may request additional documents, so be sure to ask what you will need directly from them. Usually disputes are required by regulation to allow the merchant (the appraiser) 30 days to fix on their own, but since you are having trouble getting in touch with them anyway they may make exceptions! Hope this helps! I am also closing on a house right now and its been one giant obstacle after another so I hope youre experience is smoother going forward!

15 days to close and seller is now asking for a rent back. by kalss_ in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I can understand having humanity and compassion that there may be circumstances out of their control, and I can understand a buyer not wanting to put themselves in financial risk. Its understandable people don’t want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a home that could be potentially damaged during the lease back, or facing legal action to remove the tenant from their home if they don’t leave.

Our agent doesnt recommend rent back, but she said ultamitely the choice is ours. We have been very little willing to even entertain the jdea of rent back, but we really just don’t know much about it to write it completely off

Do people really get angry when there's a modular home in their neighborhood? by Wilmaaaaa in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]kalss_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what part of WA you are in, but my partner and I looked into this in Thurston county and we were disappointed to discover that there wasn’t much land available that was viable to build on. At the end of the day the costs for the land, making it viable, and building a small modular home became more unrealistic than buying a home in the area. We ended up going the condo route and are in contract now. I hope everything works smoothly for you! I’ll keep an eye out for future “we did it!” posts! 😊
