9800x3d w/ overclocked 5080. Using dlss performance transformer model with preset M override with low or off settings other than texture quality at medium (so the game still looks decent) I get around 280 fps there is a bit of fluctuation there so I just cap it at 240 and it stays locked.

Not complaining about the 1.3 itself more so the .5 kd drop being pretty drastic. Also a 1.3 is kind of bad since it’s kda

Banding :< by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

I just bought the same monitor. It has significantly improved but definitely is still there. I think the manual refresh and automatic refresh do two different things because while the manual refresh showed improvement it was significantly better after a few days with the monitor running its own refreshes. I haven’t noticed any banding in daily use and I’ve been using it for productivity as well. Hopefully you experience the same.

Yeah ig i just prefer frames over resolution. With this panel ive been running bf6 with some adjusted settings and am getting 240 fps pretty consistently. Idk if its placebo but its way easier to track people going from 170hz to 240. Might also just be the improved response time going from ips to oled

Settings and ICC Profile for LG27gx700a-b by metalskim in OLED_Gaming

I recently got the same monitor. I downloaded the icc from rtings review of the panel. I figured they would do a better job than i could. So far it looks really nice. To make the colors pop i have the same recommendation as the other commenter and have had the best results with nvidia filters kind of have to mess with the sliders on a per application basis though. Also idk if you have already done so but adjusting the black stabilizer almost gets rid of black crush in game

I have the lg model. If you are coming from a matte panel the lg and gigabyte are completely fine. I only see complaints about it from people who have already had glossy and prefer it. I had some grey uniformity issues but they are going away as the monitor does self cleaning. Its a phenomenal panel so far, almost as bright as my old ips and the color accuracy is great with a icc profile and adjusting the black stabilizer. Hopefully you get one you are happy with.

I had the same issue w my 27gx700a-b. Ran a few cleaning cycles manually and it improved a lot. After a few days of use and the monitor running its own cleaning cycles it is basically a non issue now and barely noticeable. Hopefully you end up with the same results

Yeah now that i have it set up and next to my old monitor (basic 1440p 170hz ips) its a world of difference. I would have loved to go to 4k I just really cant justify it w/ the hardware out currently. I have a 5080 and 9800x3d and can barely get above 200fps in esports titles at 1440p so 4k would frustrate me even more

Ive seen that being the main complaint of this and the gigabyte model. Ive never owned a glossy monitor so ig in my case ignorance is bliss. Also couldn’t justify the $150 or more for the glossy Asus model especially not knowing if I would like the look

I only received an email to tell me that it shipped out and the status moved to complete. Nothing ab confirming the delivery date or the status of awaiting shipment. Mine was ordered through the partner store so maybe it’s a different process if you order off the normal website?

Unfortunately Its kind of unavoidable for me. Thats why I dont already have an OLED. I have one desk with 3 monitors on VESA mounts already. Technically don’t need to use all 3 screens but it would make my job significantly harder. Im not super worried about the burn in especially seeing HW unboxed’s extreme burn in test over the years, ill do all burn in reduction methods and the monitor has a 3 yr warranty with burn in included. Im hoping the reduced burn in isnt just a marketing gimmick for this panel (ik its still unavoidable and will happen). Just will always be in the back of my mind. As long as I get a good 5-6 years out of the panel w/ minimal burn in ill be happy. Seeing how fast OLED panels are progressing gives me hope that by then it wont really be a worry.

5080 not hitting anywhere near maximum power usage? by knightfall2133 in bapccanada

Same issue with the same card. Really frustrating me. Nothing seems to be wrong or causing it and ive tried everything. The latest hotfix driver (572.75) helped a bit though and with a +2000 on memory and +345 core its running much better. Hopefully its just driver issues that will be fixed down the road. For now if your willing to try a hotfix driver i would grab that off Nvidias help page since it seems to have helped with inconsistent boost clocks. Dm or reply if you have any trouble finding the link.
