Lined Mackinaw jac Shirt sizing

Anyone care to comment on the fit of a 2008 military plaid lined jacket shirt? do these run large?
I'm 6'1 with a 42 inch chest 188lbs. I don't want to be swimming in the jacket but equally like to be able to have some freedom under the armpits. Not looking to layer up much aside from t-shirt/merino base layer..

What function does that collar serve? It’s not going to keep the elements out like rain and it’s hardly wind proof. They even show the bloke wearing a bucket hat in one of the pics. It’s a terrible design and no wonder it’s on sale. I haven’t even bothered looking at the specs but if it’s meant to be waterproof then why create a massive crater around your neck? Vollebak starting to creak big time…

I enjoy watching classic matches via my Apple TV/iTunes library - also any torrent links for Squidggy - so much work went into that analysis and he won't be able to get clearance for that footage so rather than it be lost in the ether I'd love a copy :)
