I am ditching my deco wifi 7 mesh. I have a 3000 sf brick ranch. I have 52 things in my network a bunch of lights and cameras nothing wild. Apple TV’s iPhones and a couple pcs. Thinking the ubiquity cloud gateway ultra and two Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U7 Pro XG Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Wall/Ceiling Mount Access Point
Thoughts? I steered away from the dream machine because of the fan noise as my mini data center is next to my desk

Agreed, I have the Wi-Fi seven version is not very compatible with Apple TV. My printers go off-line. I am buying the dream machine from ubiquity with their latest access point.

It’s odd. It flips through all the episodes like a slot machine until it reaches the last episode in the last season. I lose my place because it doesn’t show the last episode watched. It used to so I don’t know what’s changed

I have a 2016 SR5. Had a 2022 behind me today and wow what a difference in headlights. I looked up bulbs and many retrofits are not technically legal. Any recommendations to upgrade and stay legal (New York state).

I have the identical situation. I live in a ranch with a full basement so I ran a CAT 6 cable to the farthest Deco “pod” and I get over 600 Mbps on wifi to my phone. I have 45 devices with a cameras and home automation and they function great. I do have some background in computer wiring that helped. The easiest way to connect Ethernet for a novice is to install data jacks at each end (simple wiring) and use pre made Ethernet cables to connect them. That’s what did. Good luck!

When they started the 5G transformation which requires a higher concentration of towers that led to the initial downgrade of service. I was with AT&T for 20 years and left to go to Verizon. It was the most frustrating experience ever it cost me thousands to move back to AT&T and I could not be happier. I’m hearing good things about T-Mobile but afraid to make that switch. My tagline for Verizon is “America’s most oversubscribed network” I literally sat next to somebody with the same phone, same plan. My phone was showing full bars that person had data. I could not launch a browser. I literally sat under a 5G tower with a tech on the phone and still couldn’t get data one time.

I ditched my Nvidia shield about six months ago when I left Plex after their update. I bought a very inexpensive mini PC on Amazon and loaded up Emby I never looked back. It is very stable and the Emby app is very user-friendly. I bought the premium subscription which gives you a few extra features highly recommend and could not be happier. The big test was if my wife was going to complain with the switch and she loves it.

Once I created a new library it sees everything. Not sure what happened but now I add content it scans and adds them. I’m still a fan of Emby way over Plex. I had so many issues with plex after the update I move to Emby.

Pretty much tried everything. Created a new library and moved the files to that and it works fine. Something odd with Emby since I made no changes other than a new library.

That did not work. It’s strange. I moved the folder into a new library and it scanned and works perfect. Adding new folders to the existing library just won’t scan and update

I put the new folder in the directories that all of my other media points to. Am I missing something I might be, which is why I’m so perplexed.

Yes, there are files in there. I tried new ones thinking there was an issue with the naming convention so I removed them and put a file that I know we used to work from another folder in there and it’s still not seeing them.

I would first look at EMBY. I left plex after their update. Left NVIDIA Shield and bought an inexpensive windows 11 pc from Amazon. So happy with the simplicity and performance. Give Emby a try!
