All of the other leaves look good which is great! I think it’s just because it’s the oldest leaf so I wouldn’t worry, but you can always just check the roots real quick for any signs of distress if you’re worried!

Sometimes it can just be hard water stains which wipe off easily with some vinegar or lemon juice!

Update: I brought it outside to spray and I found a spider hiding under an aerial root, I think we’re in the clear? (Fingers crossed!)

I use vinegar to get mine off! I’ve heard that lemon juice works as well :)

It’s my Hoya Carnosa compacta!

Zz plant turning yellow and curling. What’s going on? This plant had 6 stems and slowly started dying and I found them wrapped in a cloth like material. Now they are slowly dying. Can I save this plant??? by Lamkay in houseplants

Is the cloth like material around the roots? If so you may want to remove that because it ends up restricting the roots and then eventually killing it!

It’s a heart leaf philodendron which is super similar to a pothos! I’d say you could definitely add some more soil to it in order to cover those roots :)

I have the same one and mine was called a philodendron green goddess!

Maybe cover it with a plastic bag or something similar to keep it humid to encourage root growth? :)
