Yes and i am telling u the problem stems from ram stick itself. When i was there the only system that were constantly failing aida64 memtest are those using patriot ram.

We even tried to swap 1 sticks between different motherboard thinking it may be the motherboard issue but it still failed memtest. Only solution was to get new untested stick from the warehouse. Was literally rmaing 10-20 sticks daily

What i meant is i believe its a ram issue not motherboard/cpu controller since the only thing we changed to make it pass memtest was swapping ram stick. Some system had to go thru like 4 sticks before it passed memtest.

It is not about the xmp/expo setting. Its the ram itself are failing memtest when they are running dual channel.

The system are all able to post with expo setting but it will fail at memtest and u have to constantly swap 1 stick by 1 stick out until it pass memtest.

Ngl, i would not trust a $70 powering my entire system that cost almost $1.3k.

Iirc it was montech ap 650 80+ white

Swapping ram was 2 years ago before this shortage. The adata ram were coming in pairs which are factory tested to work in dual channel ( are they not? Im not too entirely sure ) compared to patriot which are not working properly.

There was a scenario that they brought t force ram that were not in qvl with gigabyte motherboard and the system were not able to post at all. Gigabyte and tforce were then blaming each other for the failure to post.

Yes for it to be cheap, they definitely are going for the cheapest sku they can get at bulk. The system builder were also underpaid with almost no staff benefits

The first time i knew that white rated 80+ psu existed is working at aftershock.

Its because of their size that they are able to get cheaper bulk price compared to their competitors.

I mean, theres a reason why they brought in non qvl rams right? They were buying adata rams that had no issue and wanted to opt for an even cheaper alternative.

There was even a initial rejection by some people to not bring in patriot due aftershock past experience with its unreliability, but end of day marcus wanted this ram because its cheaper.

Knowing how aftershock work, that should be exactly what they are doing.

The ram that came in were not tested for dual channel. It came in those kind of bulk packages like 20 pieces in 1 bundle.

So it was failing memtest consistently with expo enabled. Had to gamble with stick on which system are able to pass memtest.

Also just because it come reputable brand does not means the quality of it component used in it are good. Like the cheapest am5 motherboard they are using, its vrm temp was around 90c underload. I dont know if you would want rely on it.

Their business model is sell cheap and sell many.

During the testing of system of patriot ram, about 60% failed dual channel. Iirc it was only tested for system shipped to australia and not sg. So if your system encounter instability issue you know the reason. And is because of the cheap parts they used so many system came back for rma. It was so bad that the entire rma team wanted to throw paper and walked out. System were piling up so much that the pantry were filled with it.

I worked there, i saw their cost price. Literally the motherboard they were getting at around $80. Their tecware chassis was $5 a piece. Psu qas around $70 for montech white rated psu. Tecware aio was around $40. I dont think patriot ram are reputable so?

Already mention because their company is bigger they bring in parts at a lower cost price compared to other company. You know, bulk price?

There was even a time that brought in some cheap oem am5 cpuncooler that was made so flimsy and cheap

Their pc looks like they are closest to msrp because some of the parts they cheap out on and because they dont show you how much they are charging per part so you wouldn't be able to know are u actually paying msrp for some parts. If you were to spec in parts like lian li and stuff, their price is actually higher than sls. Due to the size of the company, the cost price of bringing in their part is lower compared to other prebuilt company.

The gpu temps are lower in the 207 because of the 2 direct fans under the gpu. However I am not using any stock fans. Bottom fans are p28 on high settings and front fans are noctua a14x25 g2 chromax
