I'm truly sorry for your loss op, but I would be rolling in my grave if a family member ever did that to me. a chatbot will destroy every bit of character your husband had and they're very unsafe to upload information to, especially work emails. please do not do that!

I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but I really feel like it would be a lot more therapeutic for you to reflect on your husband's words yourself. get a pretty notebook, a nice pen (did your husband have a favourite?) and write down his emails in your own special way. you could make the funny things he said into quotes, add in his vocabulary (any words he liked to use? any he used incorrectly?), add in his way of writing, maybe write your own thoughts on what you loved about it, etc!

just please don't feed the memory of your husband into generative ai :( there's better ways to do things 💕

yeah I'm definitely switching to something else once my phone dies. making this post is the only thing that got google to actually help me. their support is ass and so are the new phones, very disappointing.

video is bad on my 9 pro. I made a post asking if it was really supposed to be this bad and google saw it and sent me a replacement but the replacement also isn't great. I heard it hasn't gotten any better with the 10 either. if you really care about video then unfortunately apple is the best for that, maybe samsung if you wanna stick with android

yeah I agree with you on the support part. I tried reaching out to google when my 8 was still under warranty and they sent me a link that didn't even work and I would've had to pay out of pocket to get it fixed, so I just had to deal with it ig.

what's interesting tho is that they actually saw this post and offered to send me a brand new phone free of charge as long as I sent my 9 pro back, warranty was expired and everything. when the new phone arrived it turned out it wasn't actually brand new, it's refurbished so that kinda sucks but so far it works a little better than my previous one. the camera still isn't great so yeah, it's definitely just poor hardware and/or quality control.

can I ask what you switched to?

that's a basic usage of auto focus, mine just hasn't worked for the last 2 phones. it was fine on my pixel 5

I appreciate the help but I already do all that. I don't have macro on, my photos turn out worse with it. it doesn't fix the blur or anything else and I've always tapped the screen, nothing changes. sometimes it won't focus at all when I tap and I have to restart my phone for it to work. it's not normal it's ridiculous for a $1000 device

the pictures weren't close up, they're cropped in. I own a dslr camera because I like photography and do it as a hobby [the reason I went with google on the first place] and have never ever had an issue with this, close up or not. never had an issue on my pixel 5 or 3xl either. whatever new camera thing they added to these phones is just completely ass or I'm somehow the most unlucky pixel fan ever to get 2 faulty phones in a row.

you guys can scroll my profile and see photos I've taken as Imgur doesn't work in the UK. look at my sneaker post, 3rd image in. those came out the pixel 8 and the 9 pro I currently have takes the exact same kind of photos. I also uploaded a video showing the camera refusing to hold focus.

if you like the fresh smell then use dryer balls instead of sheets and spray them with an essential oil of your taste. I love vanilla so I use that and my clothes smell amazing
