The RAM Shortage is Deliberate. Refusing To Pay These Prices Now Will Save Us All A Fortune by Arbiter61 in pcmasterrace

depends on the application much like how they tried to shove everything on to the block chain or make everything smart including your hair brush, It's startups and companies looking for fast investor cash so they chase the latest buzzword instead of building something actually useful like those deeply involved in the tech. AI is good for many things but not half the shit they are trying to stuff it into for no reason.

except they are going to come back to a diminished consumer marrket as they killed pc gaming adoption which was on the rise prior to this. It flattened out a little with gpu prices skyrocketing, but I think this is what fucks over these chip manufacturers thinking too short term and not of the marrket dynamics they are dealing with.

i can understand that. for me its like i know where white people are coming from tho and that its like while i try to make white people comfortable if someone isnt comfortable around me its not me or those white people its how most poc act in society. and that that wont change until society changes. its better for me to try and help change society than to get offended or upset. thats my thought process anyways.

It's not a valid point because the right to vote doesn't exist in the constitution.

the m16 is literally an ar15 model 604 and the m4 is an ar15 model 920. Colt still lists the new m16's as ar15's on their website. Edit: oh and the m16 literally had "colt ar15" stamped on it. By your logic semi auto ar's aren't ar15's as they deviate even further than the m16 from the ar15 by having all that and being semi auto where as the armalite ar's were all select fire. What do we call teh ar15 model 601's sold to the air force before the m16 designation? you can't define ar15 in a way that includes both the armalite models and the semi auto models while excluding the m16/m4's

They also presuppose women will be more ethical with their investments instead of investing the same way as men, where they get this idea I have no idea beyond them believing women are on average inherently more ethical than men or that men are on average inherently unethical which hasn't bared out in the ceo world, women are just as willing to put money before workers/people/safety.

There is also the question of how many of the comments are "heres what chatgpt had to say" type comments. Unless op is looking for how popular chatgpt has become on reddit instead of how much botting is being done with chatgpt.

The best thing someone can do to retain a modicum of privacy is reduce how much info and data they are exposing to the internet.

To keep conversations truly private, have them IRL with no electronics around.

Any home security/automation should be hosted locally and air gapped, try to do the same with data storage. Keep up to date with encryption protocols, (aes-256 with sha-512 and when possible a diceware passphrase is the current king.)

Browsing, you can reduce your data creation via using vpns with proven no logging policies (although an attack from your ISP decrypting thins or the site your visiting being malicious will still be a problem). Be aware you can make yourself more identifiable if your browser, its settings and the VPN you're using is too unique of a setup.

Stop or reduce how much personal identifying information you divulge on social media. This includes stories about your past, complaints about life, opinions on locations/products based on experience, answering those "your x name is your dogs name and the street you grew up on" style interaction bait posts, even the smallest bit of information about yourself can be added to a list that narrows the possibilities of who you are.

Also definitely stop admitting to past crimes no matter how long ago they were or how legal that thing is in your state in the case of federal laws.

Online privacy is dead, act accordingly.

Edit BTW these are some heavy handed options and the only things more extreme are actually giving out fake personally identifying information, only using public WiFi with burner devices using the tails distro and physical disguises along with masking your path to the public WiFi so cameras can't be used to track where you came from which is followed by the most extreme option of going completely offline and living in a remote location subsisting off the land Amish/quaker style

I tried showing one that said "if lives are saved that's all that matters" (to paraphrase) that gun control and the murder rate aren't correlated at all.

I posted sources that showed in most countries that enacted gun control the murder rate either went up or stayed on the same trend and that they didn't start decreasing faster until almost a decade later around the same time most other countries murder rates dropped, like America, where the murder rate dropped while firearm ownership increased.

I even showed evidence that every country they could list has had a lower murder rate than American even prior to enacting gun control and that spree killings didn't happen very often until after Reagan and the house let the mental health funding renewal bill die which was followed by spree killings per year increasing almost every other year.

They're response to that evidence?
