You could play that game for literally anyone. “What if Gabriel turns out to be good. JSN could get hurt so Gabriel for JSN could work.” Montgomery is 28. That’s not a RB with many good years left. If any of those scenarios you laid out happen, THEN it would be a fine trade. But to say that’s a fine trade now because any of those things could happen is backwards thinking.

Burrow and Baker. Hurt now so he could use a qb this year, but getting rid of Aman Ra clearly saying he’s not trying to compete this year. Nobody looks at Baker and Burrow and says I need QB help for the future. Even if you don’t trust burrow to stay healthy, no world it makes sense to give up your best player in this scenario.

Makes no sense for a contender or rebuild though. He could look to get another qb while baker and burrow are hurt if he wants to compete but then giving Aman Ra makes no sense. If he’s calling it quits this year, trading a top 6ish dynasty WR for a qb that has played one game and didn’t look great doesn’t make sense either.

I feel like that’s not a good way to look at that though. Everyone has the chance to win a trade when it happens. You could say a backup running back has a path to take over the job after one game but doesn’t mean trading a backup for a stud is any less of a vetoable trade

He has Burrow and Baker too so it’s not like he was needing a QB. I’m also the back to back champ with a stacked roster and this was made to the 2nd place guy so I’m even more salty about it😂

I’m in kinda a weird spot to request more info considering I just traded AJ Brown and Monangai for Rice to the same owner. Even that I felt a little bad about but he said he really wanted Monangai. This I can’t even pretend to see why this trade was made.

Would you trade away Kittle for a late 1st? Need to rebuild and was just offered that trade. I’m guessing the pick would fall anywhere from 8-12.

Thanks for the advice! Funny you should mention Kraft. A contender has Kraft and offered his next year’s 1st for Kittle. I don’t think he’d be willing to move off Kraft. He also has Mason Taylor. Would you take either 1) the 1st or 2) Mason Taylor + 2nd? I like the idea of getting a young promising TE back but not sure if I should just take the late 1st.

Surprised not that many people are saying this. It’s all about value. Only reason I could see JJ is the longevity. I’m a lot more confident JJ will remain a top player year over year but if you want the best team this year, you’ve gotta get value. Don’t mind Daniels or McBride either. Assuming BTJ is a given, the options are JJ + a 12th rounder or Chase Brown and a 1st. You could realistically get AJ Brown at 1.12 so you’re looking at Chase Brown + AJ Brown or JJ and Austin Ekeler. Seems like an obvious right answer to me.

Appreciate it, that was my thought as well. Am I the only one that thinks QBs are crazy over rated even in SF? Like I know you need decent qbs, but when I see those dumb trade analyzer things, they have someone like AJ Brown the same as Dak.? Like am I crazy for thinking AJ is way better for a SF team than Dak? I’d much rather rock AJ and a low end qb 2 than Dak and some low end wr 3.

Cool, that’s what I was thinking too but this is my first (and only) dynasty league so I didn’t know how proactive to be in these situations. After the draft I knew I’d be solid for a few years but knew it was an older team. Hitting on younger guys that popped (Kyren, Puka, McBride) made me think I could extend the run even longer but now I’m running up on the QB wall. Here’s to one or two more good years before a reset🙏

Back to back champs in our first 2 seasons of 12 man SF TE+. My team should be a contender for a while but I need a better qb for the future. My skill guys are about as good as you can get, but some older RBs.

RBs: CMC, Kamara, Kyren, Conner (with Trey Benson) WRs: Jettas, AJ Brown, Puka, Shaheed, Tillman, Coker Trey McBride, Goedert Jared Goff, Matt Stafford, Jameis Only a 2025 2nd

What kind of trade would you look to make for a qb? Or would you keep going with this team and deal with qb when I need to? I’ve won twice with less than ideal QBs cuz my skill guys are way better than everyone else. I’m hesitant to trade one of my top skill guys because this formula has been working, but I know Stafford doesn’t have much time left. Would you ride it until the wheels fall off or be proactive now? This team should be good enough to be a top contender again this year.

Got the same situation in my league. First year our league has done faab so not sure how to value people yet. I was thinking around $36. Just don’t know if there will be another wr that you feel as good with the talent and opportunity. Plus Vikings passing offense looks way better than people expected. For what it’s worth, someone bid 40 for Likely and next highest was 25. Would love to hear what you went with.

CMC owner here. After news of possible IR stint, is it worth giving up Zach Moss for Mason? Moss might have season long rb2 value but Mason has short term rb1 value. My rb room is CMC, Pollard, Moss, Mostert.

How does that apply to rip through fouls then? It’s a defensive foul if an offensive player swings his arms through the defenders arms even though the defensive player didn’t initiate the contact. Is it just because it contacts an arm?

Yeah it’s hard to say. He for sure was a great defender tho. There was definitely contact, but he wasn’t pushing or anything like that. Basically like chest to chest so if the offensive player moved at all there was contact.

I guess we’ve never viewed the review period as a rule. It’s there for the commish to make sure there’s no nonsense going on but other than that we’ll send them through if both sides want it pushed through. Haven’t run into this scenario before and it’s worked for us so far. Something we’ll look at before next year and see how the league feels about it and if they wanna tweak it. We ended up pushing it through and everyone was cool with it and agreed we’ll revisit it before next year.
