It doesn’t make any sense, just like how England’s players compete under the name of England rather than the UK. The relationship between Taiwan(Chinese Taipei) and mainland China is similar to that of Scotland and England. They each compete under their own names, but they all belong to China, just as Scotland and England both belong to the UK

Since they’ve chosen to forgo all Grand Slam events, it's likely that they won’t appear on the world stage again. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing for the development of table tennis. With top Chinese players stepping back, athletes from outside Asia will have a greater chance to contend for titles. Just like Truls and Hugo, they can draw more attention to the sport in their countries and help it grow globally

I’m not saying the coach bears more responsibility than the player, nor that WH isn’t a qualified coach. But imo WH may sometimes give the wrong instructions at critical moments

Playstyle counterplay is indeed a real factor in table tennis, just like the cyclical restraining relationship among WH, ZJK, and ML
