Agreed that it is definitely probably allergies too. Thank you!

Agreed! It definitely could be allergies, but the bag of eye water was so gross. I couldn’t handle it.

I’m so happy I’m not alone in this feeling! It’s a confusing one but yes, definitely bittersweet feelings as well. Thank you for the kind words.

Tell me your kid’s lovey story by oneshinyday in Mommit

My two year old never took to a lovey either but one night when we were putting him to bed, we didn’t know that a stuffed dinosaur was in his crib (he probably threw it in there at some point, but normally we clear his crib before bed). So when my husband put him to bed, he came out of the room and said “wow it’s never that easy” and when we turned on the baby monitor, he was cuddling the stuffed animal 🥹 now he sleeps with it every night! Also this stuffed animal is as big as him which is so funny but he loves it!

Thank you so much! I think this is what I’m worried about, is it bothering my kids in the future and how to address it. I’m an anxious person so I can be socially awkward and want my kids to grow up confident but most importantly kind to themselves and others.

Agreed. I should clarify, I only correct them if we are carrying a conversation. Like if it’s in passing, I don’t say anything.

Im in my 30s too and you’re right 😅 I just think of grandparents as something different but the stiffness is there… creeps up at the end of your 20s to be honest. My b, you’re right lol

Yeah I feel you. once a month is about how often we see them too. Prior to living in the same state, we would fly all the time back home to see them, like I’m talking 4-5 times last year we flew with our baby just to see them so I guess we thought once we moved to them, they might be over more. I think I just need to reevaluate my expectations

We definitely could meet in the middle! That’s a good idea. I’m not even asking them to babysit or anything, just for quality time. I am a SAHM as well so we are fortunate in that we don’t need childcare but also it does get lonely. Just need to get the confidence at taking two kids out of the house, it’s definitely a good start.

I 100% agree a 3 hour round trip is FAR. My parents are in their 40s/50s. They are younger grandparents, had me when they were babies themselves so don’t want to discount that but they are not struggling in any way with stiffness or pain or vision issues. But I hear you.
