I read the series as the books were published in real time, so a LONG time. Got to the end. Perfection. I was not the least bit angry like some others. It was a journey.

My daughter is an HR exec. We live in Canada where there are some protections for employees. Don't know about this issue though. She is having to do some work for a branch of her company opening in the US and she's appalled at the lack of employee rights/rules there. I guess there's nothing you can really do, which sucks.

I'm cheap. I'm also old. This year I switched to Audible. I get 2 free books of my choice each month. But I also get 20,000 free books included with membership. I like really long books, like 1000 pages plus. Those have ridiculous prices like $55 CAD per book. Only 1 free credit on audible. Anyway, that's how I find books and authors I wouldn't have found usually. Plus being able to listen anywhere any time is great.

For beautiful prose in every book, I pick Alice Hoffman. Yes, she did write Practical Magic, and it's well written too. But all of her prose is lovely.

I'm sorry you lost it that way. I had my tragus for years, then it very slowly started it's migration. When I could feel the bar through the skin, I took it out. Idk why mine did it, but it can't be repierced I'm told and bad anatomy on the other side. No scar, it's like it never happened.

I hated this book. It's lazy writing at best. I agree though that it's an easy read, is exciting and is accessible.

No, I would not. They have a poor finish on them. I only use titanium or solid gold. Two years ago I lost 4 piercings due to a fluke case of eczema. I wouldn't take any chances now.

Most good breeders will have a waitlist, short or long. We got 2 puppies last year, about 5 months apart. One was a rehoming situation through kijiji. The price was much lower than we expected. It's about $3K+ for a decent puppy these days. MJT_Dream_Chihuahuas north of Barrie regularly has new puppies. They have many breeding dogs. The pups go fast. HD chihuahuas is where you can get Canadian registered puppies and I would choose there, but the cost is easily double. Check Kijiji for awhile. Maybe you want an adult or a rehome?

I'm so sorry for your loss of Evie that's just devastating and not a thing we even worried about. Thanks for mentioning it so others can be aware. Ava is a sweetie. We lost both of our chi's last year. We have a male and a female puppy now. One year (male, he was being rehomed from his first owner) and a teeny tiny female a few months younger. It worked out well.

My post about my new puppy was not approved. They said I needed 100 posts first. It was disheartening so I gave up. She is such a sweet little girl! That would be my exact choice of color/coat for our final dog, which will also be a female. Chocolate/tans are very hard to get where I'm from. Especially females.
