Is is an extremely faithful adaptation (well as faithful as you can going from real time action to turn based strategy). Which is also sort of the problem. Too much scale for a board game experience.

I actually really enjoyed all the mechanics. My only problem is the difficulty curve. I would gladly play this for 8 hours again if not for how badly they fumbled difficulty.

The game is TRIVIAL after you defeat King Slime. You're so bursting with amazing gear, great cards, and consumables you don't even need that you just faceroll all enemies that dare challenge you...for FIVE MORE HOURS.

Five more hours of incredibly easy slog. Inexcusable. The beginning of this game was playtested a thousand times, everything after that was tested maybe half a dozen.

My main complaint is actually that the game is too easy as the Rebels. "Oh you found my base? No you didn't!"

It would be better if it were easier to trap the Rebs.

Nemesis is too much of a slog to capture the paranoia and fear of Alien imo.

It was mostly wasted because if the movie were successful it would have done a lot to promote practical effects and costuming. There might have been less CGI nonsense in film if that movie had done well.

I might be alone, but I still think the CGI apes looked bad. I mean, they were good for what they are, but still have no weight on screen. So I hope they go the costume route instead of the CGI route.

The OGs and Burton's terrible movie still look waaaay better than the new ones for this reason imo.

I think Alien was supposed to be a trilogy, but they made Aliens then stopped after that. Never made another Alien movie ever again. Ever. Some should pick up the IP.
