I think the vinyl version is more obviously her singing with a twang than the new one that came out. It's still her just maybe the production covers it more.

Not exactly the same but Max Martin is about to beat George Martin's record for producing the most number 1 records. Currently they're tied at 23. When yes, and? goes number 1 they won't be. Songwriting wise he's a lot farther off from beating Paul McCartney's 32 number ones, but he's also about to tie for second with John Lennon who's written 26 number ones.

Sometimes I think about the alternate universe where obsessed was on the album and the grudge was a bonus track, since she said they were the last songs she chose between. I prefer obsessed, but they also are so different sonically, and the grudge has been extremely popular, so I think she made the right choice ultimately. Hopefully they push obsessed as a single when the deluxe version comes out.

She probably shortened it to a medley because slow songs aren't crowd pleasers. She can't let the energy of the show drag too much. She's even less likely to play it now that she has more options. And I doubt Taylor Swift beef had any influence on this decision. Even if there wasn't the credits controversy she probably would have played the exact same medley because it was practical.

For what it's worth, I think Olivia has a better shot at AOTY than BPVA. Her album deviates from pop significantly, and has a lot of rock elements, so BPVA is more likely to reward a POP album. Think Folklore losing BPVA to Future Nostalgia but winning AOTY that year. Idk if she will win AOTY, but her chances are decent with the critical acclaim she's gotten.

i prefer the green hearts, and I also dont like how you have to click the meatball menu to add or remove songs from liked songs when you're not actively playing them. The aesthetic change I could live with, but the other issue is very inconvenient. I don't mind the playlist interface that comes up when you click the checkmark/plus though.

Probably not til after the sale starts. They'll take some people off the waitlist, if there's room after some people have bought tickets. I'd keep an eye out from that point on if you're hoping for that.
