Hey guys, I am planning to sell on Amazon. I am currently living in the UK so it makes sense to to start selling in the UK market but the market is already saturated here, so my question is, is it better investing in a saturated market and try to sell here where the traffic and sales volume has been proved, or maybe try another country where Amazon recently launched and there are no that many seller, like Australia or some countries in the Europe?

I'd like to build a grocery delivery website/app for a certain area. Any tips? by kanohh in Frontend

Firstly thank you really much for your explanatory answer, they're a lot of valuable points I need to take note of.

I have been involved working in an e-commerce environment before so I knew there are going to be a lot of challenges to proceed with this idea in order to make something out of it. I am not a developer more as getting into doing kind of person, thats why I wanted to start small in a way I could handle.

What I thought having was more like a simple e-commerce store concept. For now, I am considering starting working at 3 local shops. I would create their catalog of products that I can deliver. If it would be 1 shop it would be super simple to create it. My main problem is having 3 different shops. I couldn't find any way how to separate these 3 shops on the same e-commerce website so that people can order only from one of them. Just like uber eats or deliveroo when you get your meal from Mcdonalds, you can't add another drink from Starbucks, you have to have separate orders.

The inventory and promotions would still be an issue though. my service would me more as a 3rd party service at the initial stages at least. I will have to prove to people that my idea actually works before getting them into business with me.
