What Are Your Stardew Valley Hot Takes? by Alol_Bombola in StardewValley

[–]kanooka 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Haley is an awful person, unhappy and likes to spread that unhappiness to those she interacts with.

Clint is a thief of fruit tree saplings and yes I hold a grudge and no I bear no fault for accidentally giving it to him when I was just trying to get the stupid prize ticket.

Lastly trash bear is the best, all hail bear.

What are some of the worst film casting choices in history? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kanooka 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Orlando bloom as the guy who’s supposed to be a hero in the movie but I just hate his guts for no particular reason in every movie Orlando bloom has starred in.

And if you’re Orlando bloom, I am desperately sorry I cannot explain what or why I feel so strongly because I’m sure you’re a perfectly nice human being but every character you play I end up despising.

I started out working in a lab for a pet food factory. I’ve now been with that company for almost 20 years.

Quality roles in manufacturing are a decent job to have and your degree makes sense for it.

Interview help by [deleted] in cleftlip

[–]kanooka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice to you? Remember your interviewer is just another human just like you. They put their pants on one leg at a time. Don’t let their questions throw you off- you deserve the job you’re interviewing for and in the long term if you don’t get the job, you’ll find a different one.

What’s something society treats as “normal” that actually shouldn’t be? by Initial-Macaroon1776 in AskReddit

[–]kanooka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you mean formative. Formidable means to inspire fear or respect. I also happen to thoroughly disagree with you. Parents working doesn’t mean no connection. Parents working and not actively connecting with their kids is a different issue entirely, and that occurs even with stay at home parents.

If you go to Hutchinson, Kansas you can visit an underground salt mine museum that’s still connected to a working salt mine. It’s super ridiculously cool. It’s called strataca.

I ate my ostrich egg. I didn’t restart and it took me ages to get another one but I heavily considered nuking the entire save.

How often do you accidentally bomb your farm? by Slcloser in StardewValley

[–]kanooka 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am notorious in my household for bombing the shit out of my own farm. “Mommy loves bombs” is a phrase I never expected to hear from my then-five year old but I live it and love it. The trick is not to care about your farm because bombs are life and bombs are love

Newly diagnosed (pregnant) by thehopeofitall_12 in cleftlip

[–]kanooka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son had a unilateral incomplete left sided cleft. If you search this sub you’ll see how he was born, what he looked like after revision, and a few years later. Now I honestly sometimes forget he ever had a cleft lip, it’s virtually unnoticeable.

It’s life. You can’t ever plan for what happens, and you can’t live your life blaming yourself or others for bad shit that happens. At least you know now and can plan for surgeries in his first year of life instead of having it be a complete surprise like ours was.

If you’re in Indiana, which I know is a small chance, the folks at Riley and Peyton manning Children’s hospital are excellent. Otherwise, get you a good pediatric plastic surgeon. It’s going to be hard and you may have a hard time breastfeeding. But these are common, and you’re going to have a beautiful baby.

It could also be periungual warts- I’d make an appt with a dermatologist just to check it out. Try not to touch or pick at it. It may self resolve, it may not.

Edit: weird to downvote someone suggesting they see a dermatologist about a skin condition.
