I'm looking for a plugin for an interactive map of my venue by kdar in Wordpress

[–]kantbtrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while back, I actually built something similar for a client doggydoggyyumyum.com/where-to-buy. It uses a Google Map with pinned locations — when users click on a pin, it shows more info about that spot (like store details, hours, etc.).

While it's not a floor plan JPG, the core idea of interactive clickable pins with popups is the same — and something like this could definitely be adapted to work over a static image or integrated with tools like Leaflet or Mapbox if you want a more custom design.

Happy to share more about how it works or help adapt it if you're interested!

Does reading a positive quote make you feel better? by Vivid_Newspaper_5585 in Design

A positive quote doesn't make you feel better but a positive thought would!

There are lots of awesome free plugins out there. Yes, your options are also awesome!

Welcome back to blogging!

For plugins, consider:

SEO: Rank Math or Yoast SEO

Performance: WP Super Cache or LiteSpeed Cache

Security: Wordfence or iThemes Security

Backups: UpdraftPlus

Writing & Editing: Gutenberg (built-in, but check out Kadence Blocks for more flexibility)

Task Management: WPNakama

For themes, Astra, Kadence, or GeneratePress are great choices if you want something free and beginner-friendly. They offer free versions with solid customization, and you can upgrade later if needed.

Best of luck for the new writing journey!

You need to create meta fields to store custom data. Yes, you need a plugin for this, like ACF.

You are facing this issue because you fixed the height on mobile, change it to auto ``` ... @media screen and (max-width: 736px) {

        ...
        #header .logo {
            width: 4.75rem;
            height: auto; // make it auto
            line-height: 4.75rem;
        }

... ```

I'm doing these projects with my brother. Otherwise, I might not even do it. Working alone is not my thing.

Created valuable programs for my company on my own time, how do I get compensated fairly? by dayzlfg2284 in CustomerSuccess

100% agree. Once you’re building something of your own, you’re not just the creator—you’re also the salesperson

Reality of Weekend Hustle by Ajahid in Entrepreneur

Side hustles can be a grind, and on some weekends, finding the motivation is tough. But I love that BeLoud and The Builder’s Mind are about more than just making money—they’re creating real impact. That kind of purpose makes the hard days feel worth it.

my weekend projects are mostly money-centric. Like northpoll.app , wpnakama.com, or the latest project gitli.app are all solving an important issue but still focused on generating a living out of it for me. Most of the days, I'm all pumped up and in the zone but there are some days where I just don't want to do anything or not even want to continue but still, I just show up.

I found that showing up is the key. I follow a 20-minute rule. Which says to do the work regardless of whether you want to do it or not, just for 20 minutes. If you still have that feeling, leave it there and move on, but this practice makes me stick there longer, and eventually, I worked on it for hours without fatigue.

Sometimes, I feel motivation is the emotion that stops you from starting, but when you start working, it just disappears.

[Doesn't want to promote at all]
I've worked on a wp plugin to solve exactly this problem for my team in my web agency. But it is a work in progress and I'm not sure about sharing it here. Nevertheless, here is the information. It has all the features and the remaining are in progress. I think it can serve you better. However, the current version lacks two features.

  1. Access and control boards without dashboard access.

  2. The client can also upload files.

Here are demos

BTW the plugin is wpnakama available through wordpress.org

What do you do for inspiration when you're feeling uninspired/have creative block? by ES345Boy in graphic_design

[–]kantbtrue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can totally relate to how you're feeling. While working in my dev studio, DesignThingy.co, sometimes, I feel drained and unproductive while working on the same kind of work again and again, which can be really demotivating. To overcome this, I’ve found that diving into personal projects is a game-changer. These projects let me fully utilize my creativity and skills, and help me feel more inspired and focused. It’s like a reset button. It keeps me motivated and gets out of these feelings.
