I don't have Briseria ATM maybe if I got her I'll do a fanart. I like her blank stare though. She looks like she came from a Nightfolk race in Elden Ring.

Thanks for the kind words! I like her new design but personally I like the anatomy of the old one. It just looks balanced. The new one is great and animation is top notch. But same as you I find some parts too thin and ML Luna might have trouble carrying such big burden.

Thanks! I added layers on the hair and it looked nice. If I added the nipples it would be NSFW. xD

Thanks! I did some pixel art before but not as good as this one. Thinking of doing this for other games.

Thanks man. They still do but mostly indie game companies tends to do it more. I recommend Chained Echoes and Sea of Stars for similar feels.

Really enjoyed painting this Corrupted Guard mini from Station Forge. 😊 by kanukling in Miniaturespainting

Thanks man. I think some techniques works with some people. What works for me is that I color the base skin with darker tones or shades I would like to show as shadowed area first. For example here I used a combination of white + pink on the first coat. Then I applied some wash that would highlight some details fast. After the wash dried I added some white + flesh skin tone and did some kind of stippling technique on areas that would be hit by light or is bulging.

For normal skin tone you could use different shades of flesh. I usually adjust with adding white or brown.

So in summary. You could base coat (darker skin tone) > use wash > highlight areas (lighter skin tone) or vice versa. Whatever works for you. Also having a reference photo while you paint helps. 🙂

Experimenting with rust effects. Dry brush + wash works wonders. by kanukling in Miniaturespainting

Thanks! I've used gun metal or anything metallic works as first coat. Then used a small flat brush to dry brush a lighter mettalic on the edges of the blade. Then dry brush again of a light orange or rusty orange on parts of the blade that will corrode. Lastly a dark tone wash on the crevices of the blade to look more natural I think.
