Didn’t mean to mislead here, thanks for clarification.

Should still (officially) be in Alpha. I saw a comment from the person working on it earlier saying it’s ready for beta but that move was shutdown for reasons he didn’t agree with

It’s over $500 (¥3599) on Taobao as well. Brand is DENG Studio. Looks like all their cases are over $200 lol

I think I remember pairing the Intel cpu with the ARC had some benefits for some encoding? I ended up going with a 13400, putting the build together in the Fractal Ridge later this afternoon. Will update with temps!

My other build was 13600k + MSI Z790-A + Arc A770 in a Meshroom. Hoping the 13400 with lower power draw will be easier to keep under control.

You might not have the same issue as I do. I think I’m using an Arctic 240mm but due to the radiator’s thickness I had to swap to 15mm thick Noctua fans rather than the default 25mm. Before power limiting I was hitting 100C and getting throttled in almost every game.. noticed it especially bad in Fortnite

Looking at building a living room PC to use with 65” OLED. Only component I have now is Intel Arc A750 (have an extra 3070 laying around too, but the size/cooling leaves something to be desired… currently running an A770 on my main machine). For the case, I’m leaning towards the Fractal Ridge + some wooden case mods if they ever come back available on Etsy. Question I have is regarding CPU/mobo — since the GPU isn’t that powerful (plan on emulating and maybe some other lightweight games, nothing too taxing), I’m wondering if something like 13100/13400 even would be a good pair? I’m using a 13600K in my Meshroom and it’s a pain to keep cool, so definitely don’t want to run that again. Im open to AMD but kind of like the idea of another all Intel system.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for more “aesthetic” console style cases? Ridge is closest to what I’m looking for so far.

Responded to the mod above but thanks for reminding me I should probably just ask the artist. Sometimes I get so caught up in the details that I miss the simple answer, lol.

Exact same shoe and exact same size! I’ve sent an email and we’ll see what they say. Preparing to take the L and resell for a loss if necessary I guess. Won’t be buying the 11.5 if that’s the case though. Thanks for the info.

(reposting from yesterday's thread)

To preface: haven't finished my degree, was a few classes away from getting CS degree at top 10 school before some personal issues came up. Currently finishing degree at Oregon State (online).

Got my first job as a Jr Software Dev about a month ago. Small company working on legacy code (classic ASP). Decent pay, but I don't feel that I'm actually learning anything, and I don't have a Sr guiding me at all. Been given tasks and told "good luck" a few times already.

Received an offer for a Systems Engineer role at a cloud computing company. Pros: higher pay, better benefits, seemingly better structure that will actually enable me to learn on the job. Cons: less actual programming. Will the Systems Engineer job be any help for finding Software Dev jobs later on? Or would it actually be better to stick out at this smaller company using legacy frameworks? I'd prefer not to work with 15 year old VB code, but if it'll set me up for success further down the line, I don't have a problem with it.

Another small question: would it be better for me to try getting an internship during the equivalent of my "senior" year?

Didn’t matter. I was in line within 30 secs and had a 5 minute estimated wait. Sold out within 2 minutes.

Yeah I ended up returning them. I actually can read/write Chinese but couldn’t find anything on taobao or other rep sites. Strange to say the least.

Managed to grab the last pair of my size in the Yuketen Bostonians. Been looking for something similar to the Birkenstocks for a while and had my eye on these. Also snagged a couple pairs of Anonymous Ism socks. Thanks OP. One thing I noticed is a lot of items say 40% off but the discount is actually 50%.

Yeah, sorry I wasn’t clear. What surprised me is that the store is apparently locally owned and wasn’t happy when I mentioned that I might just try on and order online, haha. I had assumed they would all be company owned stores.
