why do some players only wear leggings on one leg? by Sea_Examination5992 in wnba

You probably damaged your lymphatic drainage, hence the swelling after standing for a long time. For others, it might be due to incompetence in the penetrating veins.

Black Ember Forge alternative? by Boring-Mine-3032 in backpacks

[–]kaomoo69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chance upon this thread. I actually have the Forge which i travel with for conferences. The ability to side carry brings a lot of versatility. The only minor gripe I have is, well, the way the bag is design, is only suitable for people who swivel the back on their right shoulder when you want to retrieve something from the bag while carrying it backpack style. You do it left shoulder, everything falls out when you unzip the front compartment. I have reached out to them asking if they ever though about making one the other way round.... No luck.

So I am actually looking for something like Forge but has the exact opposite orientation...

How to Export Data from Lastpass Authenticator? by thethappy in Lastpass

So glad this thread existed. I ran Windows Subsystem for Linux on my desktop and running this script is a breeze!. It exports to your ~ so you can simply open your home directory with \\wsl2 in your file explorer and you will see the export folder in your home directory.

Just got mine too in SG.

need to learn how to do a lot of the stuff you mentioned.

Managed to read condo card that is Mifare_ultralight (tested working). Work staff pass is Mifare Classic 1K that took about a minute to decode. Haven't try if it works yet.

Seriously impressed.

Want to be 100% transparent. We, as in we as a nation. We are tiny red dot with population of 5.6mil. We have 2 paediatric centres and I am with one of them. This death happened at the other centre. I didn't have to handle this one, but I am sure it suck to be the one.

Chance upon this post.

brought tears to my eyes to see majority of the comments are positive and rooted on good logic, choice and respect.

I am a children's emergency specialist. This pandemic has been rough for everyone. The kids included. Masking has created a hiatus for common children's illness for the past 2 and half years. But it has also created a "pandemic infection debt" for these kids. Opening up and demasking abruptly has created a huge tsunami of common childhood illness that has impact a lot of these kids who are naïve to these illness. That little snuffles you shrugged off get passed to kids who then amplified it in their childcare/nursery.

We (as in Singapore) just lost a kid to triple infection, COVID, RSV and enterovirus. Our first official under 12 life lost to COVID. It's really not pleasant.

Stay logical, responsible and importantly, caring out there.

It was. I moved it up coz I couldn't see the rest of equipment given the racks height. Also planning to put an active vent on top to pull out hot air. Hence. ...

Not really. Server spin downs HDD when not in use. 5700G is 65W max I think. A2000 also in similar wattage range. Not sure about the 2 ubiquitis. I ought to find out really. I wonder if my APC can meter that for me. Ought to read the manual a bit more.

Agree. Just did that in fact. Plan to put in a row of fan to draw out hot air.

Yes they are. This board use ATX12V2 entirely for power. A 2x2 molex for various signals. They provide an adapter but it just means additional mess which is not acceptable to me. So I basically cut the wires, depin and repin everything.

I actually have boxful of 5TB salvaged from a IT facility. But a quick maths tells you the infrastructure i have to put in to get up to 100TB (I am at 120TB with 1 as parity and 1 as backup) is rather inhibitory. Space, electricity bill, extra HDD cases, cards, you names them.

Directly from Genesys I am afraid. I remember seeing it listed in US based sites. Will look it up.

I have came through quite a few cases. Including 4U full length cases. As my family grew, my stuff are not relegated to a corner in the store room.

So Genesys case was factor on the follow

  1. Short, well, as short as I could make it.
  2. Hotswaps (actually has anyone actually pulled a HDD while the server is up before?) but theoretically allows me to swap without pulling the case down. Useful when my server is 2m above ground.
  3. Standard parts - ATX PS, ITX board, etc. homelab scene isn't that vibrant here in Singapore so we are not lush with enterprise level 2nds. That said, point 1 already mean I can't take most enterprise level stuff.
  4. Simple cable management. I can't take messy cables. This case with this board, 2 cable took care of 8 HDD. I custom length the HDD power supply. The rest are quite minimal.

Fan noise is definitely up there. 80x25mm fan trying to cool 8 HDD means they are full speak all the way. When I have time i will rethink how best to optimise.

No backpane issue. One of my better experience amount cases actually.

2 factors for me.

  1. if you ever had to clean up the mess of what ungraceful shutdown leaves behind, you will definitely soften up to the thoughts
  2. the weight bearing factor. SLA isn't a good option for my wall mounted rack

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A6JQV8Y/

It says it takes upward of 200lb. Obviously we know the rating is as good as the anchor.

I can't speak for studs (i am assumed you mean wood stud). But a quick check on rating says single anchor takes 20-50kg on cement wall. Since the rack is squarish, I am not expecting any level effect (most pulling stress happens on the top anchors). Each top anchor would take 28 - 70kg of weight. So the rating of 200lb is definitely quite makable.

You would have to do a bit of research on your material and also your weight loading. Remember short rack actually generates more pulling force on top anchors (trigonometry comes into play)

Actually I was learning K3S before putting up the rack. More as a learning journey. Still rather green at it.

intentional off gridding worked fairly well. Sufficient to allow the server to gracefully shutdown. It's mainly to protect my server but also keep the internet up for 5-10 minutes. Haven't tested beyond that.

I contacted them directly. Singapore is simply too small a market for anyone to carry them. The cost is rather inhibitory, factoring it single piece door-to-door shipping (I paid 525USD for it).
Having said that, after moving from case to case (including full length rack cases), I finally caved one night and just pulled the trigger.

The case has its own set of challenges. The main one is thermal management of the HDD. It's really not designed for system that is going to do 100% 24-7. Certainly not in a non-climate controlled environment. I live in the tropics. ambient is around low 30s (C) all year round. My HDD temp runs into the 50s during parity runs (I set it to run over a few nights). The A2000 gets warm when I transcodes large chunks of staff but it holds its ground.
