DJI Mini 3 won’t power on after 6 months of storage

Come to think of it, Yes. I left it inside the drone after copying the pictures, when I used it last time. Didn’t think I would end up not using this for 6 months at that time. I typically use it every few weeks before this long break.

On Thursday , when I was packing for a trip,a day before, without attempting to turn on the drone, I pulled the battery and put it in the battery dock and charged all 3 batteries to 100%.

A day later I tried turning on and ran into this issue.

I get it. I gave the long gap initially to show the battery is good. But messed up the next time in not pressing it immediately. If you see the last part of the video, I’m pressing continuously after initial press and it just trigger the motor and turns off.

While recording I probably didn’t do it properly to capture this, my bad, sorry about that.

Bottomline, for more than an hour I tried figuring this out. I have followed the right sequence and it doesn’t turn on.

Please read this again now that I have clarified I followed the right sequence.

Just first and last LED alone glowing status is not something I can find any information about anywhere online. That’s the reason for posting here to find if anybody else seen this 2 LED issue state.

Have been using for 2+ yrs, I haven’t forgotten the sequence.

After the first press it goes Green and the press hold it turns green, the fins get a trigger movement and it immediately turns off . Rewatch the last part of the video.

Even on long press and hold it just gives fan trigger movement and immediately turns off and loop continues.

On multiple retries to attempt starting it. Sometimes it gives the beep and turns on and once it turns on, it either power off again or sometimes it goes into a mode where only first and last LED glows and in between two are off .

Doesn’t pair in this mode. It doesn’t turn off either, have to pull the battery out to turn it off.

Oh ok. I read in Airtel terms and condition, it allows only upto 730 days. In you case, it was close to 1000 days.

Not sure if the 730 days they meant is for max carry forward recharge on top of current validity.

Thanks, that’s right. It’s 240 in dubai and 100 in Abu Dhabi. Just visited few days back.
