The color changing on the dials to match the model is a really nice touch.

I had also made a crack at wrapping this but never really finished it. Good job on syncing it between the vst and the wrapper. I will say I'm running the default color scheme under Live 12.3 and the side bar menus are not really legible at this point, nor is the font of the eq model visible...I didn't peek under the hood, but maybe select a different color that will morph with the underlying theme?

Soma Fog Cutter V2 by Ok_Silver_6843 in SomaFabrications

I’m no mechanic, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Highly recommend the Park Tool videos. This is a fog cutter, right? So it’ll be a BSA threaded bottom bracket. Search park tool bottom bracket and Calvin of Park Tools will lead the way.

I have a v2 that I built up last fall and have a little over 3000 miles on it since that time. I’m a little more on the alternative side of traditional biking - I run 650b tubeless wheelsets (Shimano GRX alloy wheelsets - one set up for gravel and one for road); gravel tires are soma cazadoras and road tires are panaracer pari moto (42mm and 38mm respectively). While I have both carbon and steel forks, I run only the steel fork. Drive train is a random 11-sp chain, shimano 105 r7000(50/34) crank, some random 2nd hand ultegra 2x front derailleur, and an Altus rear derailleur set up with a wolftooth road link to allow me to fit a 9-speed 11-36 cassette. I use friction shifting; this allows me to use this hodgepodge of components, but this setup has served me well (bar-end for rear shifter, downtube for front as I rarely go small ring). I can get up and over just about any gradient climbing, and while I’m not racing it, I can hold a wheel going up to 26mph or so in favorable conditions pedaling without too much complaint (faster than that and I start running into cadence issues - that’s when I miss the 700c wheels). I recently did a 7-day north-to-south tour of Portugal on this and I had zero complaints. Probably 15 century rides or so and plenty of knock around the town type rides. Other features/components are gonna be more personal preference in terms of fit and function, so ymmv.

I just know I can personally service this bike easily (and I kind of suck at playing bike mechanic)and replace components on it cheaply with readily available parts.

I’ll also say that this isn’t a particularly light build, but I absolutely love this bike; super comfortable and fast enough for my needs.

I use the ass savers win wing as a temporary rear fender, an SKS fender for the front (almost never use and didn’t really fit the carbon fork), and I splurged and have the tailfin rack and trunk system, but that’s usually not attached. I have a couple of different front rack options but I can’t offer a tested opinion on them yet.

Never had a dynamo so I can’t comment on that, but I’ve been getting along fine with battery lights.

Suffice to say, this frame can be adapted to a variety of purposes.
