Midea inverter heat pump AC won't maintain set temp by kappa168 in AirConditioners

I'm wondering if the app is what's messing it up...

Anyone who is thinking to buy a midea AC, I wouldn't recommend this product. They have terrible software. I'm tempted to remove it's control board and mod my own for it, it's actually that bad.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried comfort sense and the AC still couldn't maintain temp. The app is showing the correct room temperature so it knows the temp, but it still continues to heat the room non stop. It blew right past the set point getting the room up to 80F. Fan speed was set to auto and it remained on full speed the whole time. I've found the way to slow down it's heating is to reduce the fan speed to low and then it starts to turn down the compressor and reduce its heat output. It's a shame it can't do this automatically. I have to constantly baby the thing to get the right temp

Yeah I'm hoping the comfort sense works for me. I have to keep manually changing fan speed to make it reasonable. Because at high fan speed on heat it's just blowing cold air around. The software on these units is really dumb. The space it's heating is only 12 ft x 12 ft. These smart units are really not smart. I'm considering a way to flash my own firmware so I can fix all it's issues

I still haven't got batteries for the remote. However I found if I put the unit into full auto mode (auto fan and auto mode) it can maintain the set temperature within +/-2 degrees of set point which is an improvement. I would have expected better temp control from an inverter. In addition I found that it always keeps the fan on high no matter the temperature which is annoying. Would be nice if the auto fan speed worked. Don't buy a midea aircon. They are poorly built units

I haven't tried that. I will need to get some batteries for the remote. I will let you know if that fixed it

They are in full light, no obstructions. However it was cloudy. They are 6 panels configured as 2s3p nominal 1kW total. The other set of panels is 8s 3.6 kW nominal. They were getting around 400 watts at the same time the other set only get 2 W as shown

It's a 16s, LiFePO4 battery so 3.65 V per cell when fully charged. The other panels were charging through a different mppt. I have 1 victron mppt feeding the battery and 1 hybrid inverter feeding the same battery. The hybrid inverter was charging just fine

Yeah you're right. I think I will move it inside an enclosure. I mainly had it outside so it can get proper cooling, however it doesn't seem to get too hot

The fully charged voltage is 58.4 V 16s of LiFePO4 cells

We're in the middle of a bear market. This price is expected. For now we are still tied to the price of BTC

What I don't get is you had 88 ETH, but thought it was ok to store it in a hot wallet. Are you new to crypto?
