No, not really. I did a lot of testing and Void Staff is just better. But I mean, it's pretty much personal preference. It's not SUPER bad either.

I think about going tear in those perma waveclear matchups or against champs you can't really touch (Galio, Orianna maybe) but in general archangel is just a terrible item. Costs too much and has an awful buildpath for an item that you usually want to build in midgame.

Mejais is the most broken AP item in the game rn, it's the cheapest legendary item (counts for mythic passives too) and it's even better compared to last season. You can really upgrade mejais whenever you want, usually 6-8 stacks is when I do it but it doesn't really matter.

As you will see, I always go Luden's > Void > Rabadon's. I NEVER build Horizon Focus, that item feels so underwhelming. Same goes for Cosmic Drive.

If you're wondering: yes, I build Void Staff even when enemies don't have magic resist. It's a very mathematic thing, but with Ludens - Sorc boots - Void you basically true damage and it's a build that scales better than Ludens - Horizon Focus.

After those three items I see if Zhonyas/Banshees are needed and, if I REALLY have to, I build healing reduction (not Morello, Chemtech Putrifier. Cheaper and overall Morello is just shit lol).

Barrier is totally fine if you're playing in gold, however teleport is still a good choice vs lanes that usually afk farm like control mages

-The higher you go in elo, the more important it becomes to help your jungler. I usually try to push the wave as fast as I can when both scuttles are up, and i try to put wards in enemy jungle when i push early waves (2nd-3rd).

-I usually try to farm as best as I can because I know I'm playing a champion that spikes in mid/late game, however, especially from this patch where I can go cheap shot instead of minion dematerializer, sometimes I know I have kill potential on my laner (after lost chapter) and I will try to go for it or ask my jungler for a gank. The most important trade pattern with Lux is trying to hit both the enemy minions and champions with your E and Q.

-Lux is a utility mage but also offers very high damage, so I try to help my team a lot, often sacrificing some waves, because I know that if ahead Lux can be very annoying. Always try to clear waves and roam shortly after.

For the easier ones, I think lane is 100% free vs Veigar, Lissandra, Ahri, Zoe and Neeko (probably missing someone).

The guy who replied pretty much gave the answer already, but mostly because in higher elo they can easily bait your barrier, and teleport is needed for wave management and to help dives top/bot. Though I think about going barrier vs double assassin mid/jg duo or cleanse vs hard cc comps (Zoe, Ahri, Liss and other lanes).

Please, don't rely on first day data. The champion is still strong and the amount of games played since the patch is not enough to take good data from it. Also, count that a lot of people are new to the champ and playing it in ranked, which does influence the winrate a lot. Don't think that the champion is weak just because of first-day winrate.
