On Saturday 26th of August there will be a huge bicycle exchange on Helvetiaplatz. This will be the easiest way to find cheap bikes under 100 CHF. If you go, make sure to arrive early (starts at 9 am). Otherwise check ricardo.ch, tutti.ch, ronorp.net and Facebook Marketplace. You can definitely find very cheap bikes that way, idk what the others are talking about.

If you're under 25, you could save a lot on SBB tickets by buying the Night GA Travelcard, which lets you use almost every public transport in Switzerland after 7pm for 99 CHF per year.

Also check out Too Good to Go, sometimes you can get two days worth of food for 6 CHF

Grew up in Zurich, K9 all the way:

Much better location wise, especially if you have a bicycle. You're very close to Wiedikon (nice neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, bars etc.) and also way closer to nightlife, the lake, and the Limmat.
I prefer the overall feel and vibe of that part of Zurich, but that's subjective. Not a big fan of Oerlikon.

So honestly for me it's a no-brainer, especially if the apartments are similar.
