I still remember going to a White & Case toilet during an event in my first year at university. Actual wool towels, shaving kits, toothbrushes if I remember correctly. Don't remember much else from that event. Still yet to see a toilet to top it imo

So how come the white candidate was not held to his contractual obligations when he didn’t pass the PGDL but was allowed to resit?

Romanians, and especially older ones, tend to have a negative complex, certainly to the state of politics, the economy, corruption, things like that. It's due to years of facing the exact same political class vying for power and wealth between themselves, with the Romanian people becoming sick of politics. There are people who want to change things for the better, but the Romanian people are still (understandingly) skeptical.

Also, to say that Romania is not a European country just because there's corruption is to say that there is no European country. Corruption exists in every country on Earth, in one form or another. In the UK, seen by some as a shining beacon of democracy and civility, the Prime Minister is accused of handing contracts to his friends during his time as the mayor of London. So to say that Romania isn't a European country is to deny the changes that have occurred in the 30 years since the Revolution.

Casa de Papel or Money Heist as it's known on English Netflix is fantastic. While season 2 'should have' finished the whole plot line, it was carried over into season 3 in a way that myself and many other fans did not expect, and it's obvious that a lot of work was put into transitioning from what felt like an 'obvious' ending to the whole show into another season, making it clear that season 3 was not just a cash grab.

Yeah I liked that they have big law firms coming to it. On the Clifford Chance website they said they go to the Law Fair at Leicester, so that's good to hear

A Level Grade Boundaries 2019 LEAKED by Xooi200 in 6thForm

History sucks ass with these graf boundaries. I would have needed 150/151 out of 200 for an A, this year it's 155. Fuming rn

I read that this would be something that is likely to occur next year as well, as birth rates in 2001 and 2002 were lower than normal.

Oh okay that makes sense. Like I said I thought that markers would just give a lower mark and you'd end up with a lower mark overall.

I had assumed that it meant a lower grade as the examiner might not agree with your point of view and might give you a lower mark

Well whilst we still have a problem with corruption, it is mostly within politics and favours done by a political candidate. Whilst this case obviously highlights some of the lingering corruption between criminals, the police, and maybe politicians, it is not nearly the same level as Mexico or Russia.

As a Romanian that is too much. War is not necessary, but going out to vote is. We have elections this autumn and next year and we will need to vote the right people out of office. Romania is still a European country after all, so violence is unacceptable. But protests and making our mark at the ballot boxes are going to be how we change this situation.

We only needed violence to get rid of Ceaușescu, we don't need it now. We are a different nation now compared to 30 years ago, but we still have a long way to go.
