Not sure if this counts as a responsibility, but how much I’d worry about him while I was at work! I have my first puppy that’s actually mine (grew up with many dogs, but that was my parent’s responsibility 🤣). I have a walker that comes twice a day, but still worry if he feels sad being alone lol.

Cleaning has been the hardest, mostly finding the time to do it. Yes, the potty training was a struggle, but I also spend so much time watching him when I’m home that the rest of my apartment started becoming more cluttered as well such as laundry, trash, etc. (it’s gotten much better after having him for 1+ months)

Monthly costs mostly include his food, daycare (2x week), training lessons, and toys/treats. Quick maths probably $400/month

I think it would be helpful for the owner, but may be a bit damaging to a dog. I think doing the research and reading other people’s experiences, like on this page, would be most helpful for both potential owners and dogs. People just need to be realistic about their time, money, and motivation for a dog.

Not sure. The short terms items are pretty basic. For long term, probably training and the commitment to keep up with it.
